"If you are not from Atlanta don't come to Atlanta cause you wouldn't understand," says Rob DeMoura. Getting lost was the theme for the Charleston Hurricanes on the weekend of May 6th. After hours on the road Hurricanes players began trickling in to Face Team Sobe. "We just couldn't wake up after that trip," says Johns Hughes. The Hurricanes dropped their game to Sobe and the following game to ALC. How quickly the Canes bounce back will determine the mettle of the team. |

ALC played a very tough game to win 14-11 over Charleston. An incredible start for ALC with 3 goals in the first 2 minutes of play really shocked the Hurricanes for their second loss of the day. ALC dominated faceoffs and ground balls enabling the Atlanta offense to take control and score goals. The first two quarters were dominated by ALC with 9-6 half time score with Hat tricks from Gurmeet Singh and Andrew Fritts. Charleston owned the 3rd quarter scoring 4 unanswered goals to take a 10 - 9 lead into the fourth quarter. ALC made a few minor adjustments on defense, focused on possesion and scoring goals. Notre Dame alumni Tony Reid-Suber used his incredible speed and shot accuracy to bring ALC from behind scoring 4 goals and putting the final seal on the Atlanta victory. Atlanta will travel to Charleston on May 13th to face Charlotte and Charleston. |

Southern Empire(#1) continues to destroy any team that comes along their path for the title. I tired and beat up Charleston Hurricane team took the field on Sunday against SE. The game was a total miss-match and the Canes wanted nothing more than to live through the game and go home. Southern Empire will be facing Buckhead this weekend which is sure to be a crucial game in the M.A.L.L. Division. |
