Hi gamers! Welcome to my cheats column. I’ve always believed that when you play a game you play to WIN! I’m sure you’ll all agree.
I’m a very competitive gamer, lets just say gaming is in my blood. I once tried to go onto Games World, a computer games program (for the people who don’t know about that). Unfortunately I never heard back OH WELL.
One day I hope to have enough money to set up my own business which will allow me to find the best gamers from around the world. My idea would be to organise monthly challenges and there would be Cash and Prize’s up for grabs. It is a dream but hopefully, one day, it will be reality (let me know your opinions on this).
Right, lets begin with my chosen cheats! Since I’m such a big fan of Goldeneye and MarioKart on the N64, I will start with cheats from these games which will hopelly help to impress your mates and improve your gaming skills.
MarioKart 64
Quick off the blocks: Press A between the dimming of the second light and the blue go light if performed correctly you’ll shoot ahead of your opponents into pole position. (Cheeky)
Dam Bananas: Ever get tired of slipping on bananas? Not anymore when you hit a banana, simply hold break for a second to stop from skidding than accelerate away. (no more slip ups)
Mini-turbo slide: Want to gain extra speed when you need it? Simply hold R to slide round corners while holding R move the Analogue stick left than right keep repeating until you see red smoke from your Kart when red release R to get a well deserved boost. (Ha Ha)
Watch your Back: Its always a good idea to keep a banana or shell behind for protection from other karts simply hold Z to cover your Kart, or also you can use this wisely to lay a banana or hit a kart coming up behind you Simply hold Down And release Z if you have a shell. (That’ll wipe the smile off their face)
Shortcut
Royal Raceway: At the end of the big self propelled ramp make a sharp left turn and press jump aiming towards the finish line if performed correctly you’ll land right by the finish line, However if you don’t lets just say have a nice swim. (Quack)
KoopaBeach: On this level you’ll see a ramp leading into an opening in the mountain this is the shortcut, to enter this cave simply use a turbo-boost from a mushroom or a star performed correctly you’ll be able to save yourself half a lap. Its also possible to jump from the ramp into the cave using just the jump button but you have to have good timing. (tut tut)
Goldeneye
I was 16 years old when I first bought Goldeneye and, to be honest, I couldn't put it down! Even today it’s still one of the best (if not the best) multiplayer game on the N64. Sad to say I spent four years of my teen life playing this game to death, playing my friends at it, challenging people where I used to live. I would come back after school and work on my times on agent, secret agent and 00 agent, making my times harder and harder to beat. It’s hard for people to believe, but it’s always been and will be my best game of all time.
I was well known at high school for my best times. I’d love the challenge of playing people due to my competitive ways and my skill for the game was untouchable. I don’t hardly lose and still, to this day, throw open the challenge for anyone to play against me (so bring it on). Before you say it, I’m not big headed! I’m just very confident when it comes to my abilities concerning this game.
Cheats
Hidden Characters: So you want more characters hmm? You need to enter the character selection screen and scroll across till you get to the last character. (either mishkin or moonraker elite) Than press the following combinations: Hold L+R and press C-left. Hold L and press C-up. Hold L and R and press left. Hold L and press right. Hold R and press down. Hold L and R and press C-left. Hold L and press C-up. Hold L and R and press right. Hold L and R and press C-down. Hold L and press down. If entered correctly, you’ll than have an extra thirty one characters to choose from including a biker. (Wicked)
Invisible in Multiplayer: Ever wanted to be invisible while playing against your friends? Well you can and here’s how: simply press the following combinations while playing -> press L+C-up. L+R+C-left. R+Up. L+C-right. R+C-left. L+right. L+R+C-left. L+C-right. L+up. L+R+C-down. Once entered your opponent will not be able to see you (providing the radar isn’t on of course).
Returning into the vent: Here’s a cunning tip to bamboozle your friends! To enter vent again, simply walk onto the toilet seat facing the wall than hold L+R+C-left and hold left on the Analogue stick until you see the vent appear near and than just press forward you’ll than be back in the vent. (shazam)
Invisible Flag Trick: Yes it’s possible for the flag to be invisible! Before you pick the flag up, go through your weapons till your unarmed than hold the fire button down and pick up the flag, the flag will now be invisible plus you’ll be able to slap your opponents to death. (classy)
