Today, while driving down a major highway, I saw something that made me extrememly angry. An orange sign, with the words "Slow down, my mommy works here." was placed on the side of the road. Now, my first objection to this would be, if someone is going to hit a construction worker, they will do it regardless of a stupid sign. Secondly, is there such a large number of construction workers hit each year that we need signs with child scrawl placed on them to undermine this horrible occurence? Lastly, we are paying for these signs! Maybe if turn pike rates were lowered, there wouldn't be construction workers being run over by angry business men! So, how about it, you take away the signs, thereby lowering the turn pike rate, and the amount of construction workers being maimed by cars. home
