Our Second Ball Python

Moesha is a 4 year old female we stumbled onto at our favorite "snake store".  She had been brought in by her former owners who said she wouldn't eat.  They had mishandled her, however, and it is obvious from her size and weight that they had never fed her right.  While Balls can be picky eaters, her condition indicates that it was the keeper's fault that she hasn't been eating.  They had used a 150 watt flood light over her, which would have produced way too much heat and light.  Since getting her she has eaten like a champion and we are working on getting her in better condition.  She is very tame, docile, and also loves to be held.  Her favorite trick is to "nudge" her way where she wants to go using the side of her head.
