This is my first dress. It's simple but elegant. Not too little, not too much.
I'm fond of the embroidery around the neckline. The bottom embroidery just isn't as pretty.
I made this dress using a combo of a Princess dress (top half) and a cheerleader skirt pattern. The base is velvet. I think this dress would make a nice costume for older dancers, who want something a little different. But before I start thinking about making them for people, I'd need to find an easier way to do the skirt! (Probably would have to create my own pattern.)
