Japanese Clothing

Kimono - The traditional torso clothing for both males and females. The kimono's worn by samurai were shorter because they had to be tucked into a hakama. Increases speed by 500.

Hakama - Hakama is the traditional pants worn over the kimono and are either split inbetween like pants or left unplit like a skirt. Usually worn to protect from brush from the horse. Increases speed by 500

Nagajuban - Worn under the kimono for extra support. Increases speed by 100

Obi - A females outfit with a large bow that ties in the back. Increases speed by 200.

Ninja's Gi - A black gi and a fishnet type under garment with fairly big black pants. Increases stealth capabilities. Increases speed by 500 and stealth capabilities to lvl. 2.

Michiyuki - A large trenchcoat, cannot be worn with a kimono but can be with a ninja's gi. Takes 1000 off all attacks.

Cloak -
Increases stealth capabilities. Increases stealth by one level.

Custom Clothing - You will create your own look, it will cost $5,000 and if you create it you will start with it. The clothes will give you 1000 pts to split up between your stats as you like.

Created Clothings -

Chyldret's Clothing - A black and white trim Chinese linen top with red dragons embroidered in it tied at the waist with a blood red sash. A one piece black hakama and a pair of small black shoes. Cost - $5,000.

Neo's Clothes - A Black Kimono w/ white Nagajuban a white belt where you can put up to two sheaths. Also has Black Hakama's with solid black shoes. Created by Neo. Cost - $5,000.

Japanese Armor

Chestplates - Do

Tatami do (folding armor) - Torso armor of tatami, small plates connected with mail. Used as light armor. Takes 3% off all attacks to the chest.

Kikko do (brigandine) - Quite rarely used because of how weak it was but was still made. Takes 4% off attacks to the chest.

Kozane do (scale armor) -
Worn commonly by high nobles, and was made with small scales laced together. Takes 5% off attacks to the chest.

Mogami do (lamellar) - Standard body armor. Takes 6% off attacks to the chest. 200 off speed.

Kiritsuke kozane (mock scale armor) -
Made of plates riveted together but was cut and decorated to look like scale armor. Takes 7% off attacks to the chest. 300 off speed.

Hara-ate - Half plate armor. Breastplate and front tassets. Takes 10% off attacks to the chest. 500 off speed

Okegawa do (tub-sided armor) - Riveted plate cuirass and tassets.Takes 20% off attacks to the chest. 1000 off speed

Helmets - Kabuto

A full helmet, usually including a shikoro, which is a skirt that protected the nape of the neck and often worn with a nodowa which protected the front of the neck. Menpo were also sometimes worn, but rarely were the full face masks (somen) worn because of how uncomfortable they were.

Tatami Kabuto -
4% off all attacks to the head and throat

Very Fancy Kabuto -
5% off all attacks to the head and throat

Fancy Kabuto -
6% off all attacks to the head and throat.

Simple Kabuto -
7% off all attacks to the head and throat

Simple Kabuto (shot-proof) - 8% off all attacks to the head and throat

Arm Guards - Kote and  Pauldrons - Sode

Cheap Kote - Fabric sleeves protected by simple splints sewn to the outer part of the arm. Cannot be worn with sode. 3% damage off the arms.

Full Kote - Full sleeves of tatami armour or less commonly of kikko (brigandine). Sometimes worn as light armor for nobles. Not worn with sode. 4% damage off the arms.

Shino Kote - 5% damage off the arms.

Tsutsu-gote - 6% damage off the arms. 100 speed loss.

Oda-gote - Sleeves of mail with attached tiny plates. Could be full sleeves or worn with sode. 7% damage off the arms. 200 speed loss.

Lamellar Kote - 8% damage off the arms. 300 speed loss.

Sode without manjuwa -
9% damage off the arms. 400 speed loss.

Sode (lamellar) and manjuwa - 10% damage off the arms. 500 speed loss.

Plate Kote - 11% damage off the arms. 600 speed loss.

Leg Armor - Haidate (for thighs) and Greaves - Suneate (for shins)

-Haidate
Haidate was additional thigh protection for foot combat. It was not always worn because it can slow you down. It gives no protection for behind.

Tatami or Kikko Haidate - 4% off the front of the thigh.

Mail or Oda-Haidate - 5% off the front of the thigh.

Lamellar Haidate - most common type.  6% off the front of the thigh. 100 speed loss.

-Sumeate
Sumeate were usually made to match the kote. Most were of Shino construction. Usually Sumeate gave no protection to the back of the leg.

Cheap Shino (splint) Sumeate - 3% off all attacks to the front of the shin.

Tatami or Kikko Sumeate - 4% off all attacks to the front of the shin.

Oda-gote Suneate - 5% off all attacks to the front of the shin.

Shino Suneate -
Most common type 6% off all attacks to the front of the shin. 100 speed loss.

Lamellar Suneate - 7% off all attacks to the front of the shin. 200 speed loss.

Plate Suneate - 8% off all attacks to the front of the shin. 300 speed loss.

Facemask - Menpo/Somen

Somen - Full face mask, but uncomfortable and without padding underneath. Takes 4% off attacks to the face.

Menpo - Half mask, but ironically more protective than the Somen. Takes 5% off attacks at the face.

Kikko - Hexagonal brigandine. Most common type of non-solid armor.

Shino - Splint Armor and most common form of the greaves and sleeves.

Lamellar - Most common armor for the japanese warmor. Much of the shoudler protection and tassets and chestplates were multiple lames laced together.
