Slipknot
  Slipknot is the biggest death metal band to date. The huge group contains nine mebers all of which mask up for shows, interviews, videos, and everything else. Mudvayne and Kiss have hidden their faces and exposed them but only three Slipknot members have unmasked. Corey Taylor, and Jim Root unmasked in 2002 with thier side project Stone Sour. Joey unmasked in his side project the Murderdolls. Slipknot started making big videos in 2000 when they released the live video "Wait And Bleed." The song was a big breakthrough for Slipknot supporting the other song "Spit It Out" which is also live. In fall 2001 Slipknot released the new album "Iowa" which is named after thier home state Iowa. "Iowa" feautures many hardcore metal songs and the first single "Left Behind." Stone Sour
was coming back with the help of three new bands Drowning Pool, Project Wyze and Adema. P.O.D. and Linkin Park had major breakthroughs and Ozzy Osbourne was back after almost half a decade, and Rob Zombie aslo released a new album and single. All of these and Slipknot got metal songs back on the charts and kept it bigger then ever. Slipknot, in spring 2002 released "My Plague" which was on the video game hit "Resident Evil" movie soundtrack with many metal and rap artists. In fall 2002 Corey Taylor and Jim Root's side project Stone Sour released two major hits, and Joey's side project the Muderdolls released a major hit.
