Kitty Angels
And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
         To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
      Soon, replied the whiskered angel.
            But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled.
For, you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand, asked God
         That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined for all  eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

       Eventually they will understand
          Replied the glorious cat.
For I will whisper into their hearts.
That I am always with them.
I just am...forever and ever and ever.

Simon has journeyed over the rainbow bridge to wait for his foster parents. We did everything we could for him. The vets ran numerous test, took x-rays, and performed exploratory surgery. We think Simon had a greater calling. Simon is now among the kitty angels watching over the kitties on earth. Simon knew love before he passed over, and will help guide us to the kitties in need, so that they too, can be loved. Rest in Peace, sweet Simon. You were an exceptional kitty on earth and you will be an exceptional kitty angel.
Carson was one of four kitties stuffed in a cardboard box and left at a construction site right before storm Carson. Unfortunately, Carson never made it to her furever home. She suddenly became ill and passed on within hours of the onset of her illness. Rest in peace my sweet princess - you were loved by both your foster Meowm and your Mom-to-be.
Wasabi was four weeks old when he was found in a NYC train station. In order to stay alive, he had eaten everything imagineable. His belly was so fat and his bowels so impacted that the vets didn't think he would make it. After many days of medical care, Wasabi was given a clean bill of health.
Sahara was found abandoned in an apartment in NYC. When turned into the animal control she weighed 4.5 pounds. She was covered with fleas, dehydrated, and had virtually no body fat on her. Unfortunately, Sahara was not able to recover from her ordeal and went into renal failure. We helped her to cross the bridge in October 2006.
Unfortunately, he was later diagnosed with FIP and made his way to the bridge at an early age of 6 months. We will miss you my sweet boy...
