Mr. Border Slime

This will be where I place the "hard to classify" items. For now, that includes the CD Theaters (which have a story CD and an illustrated booklet) and the rare Dragon Quest Fantasia beta tape.

Love me? Please?

Description This features a sound drama and a 48-page illustrated booklet. The sound drama is 74:33 minutes and follows the entire DQ1 story with complete voice acting, sound effects, and music from the game. The booklet has high-quality anime-style images of different scenes from Dragon Quest 1. Everything about this is excellent.

Publisher Enix
Description Contains a 2-CD sound drama and a short illustration booklet. The booklet has six page inside, with four devoted to track information and the voice actor list. Front, DQIV Cd 1 Back, DQIV Cd 1 *_* Krift
Name Dragon Quest IV CD Theater Volume 1
Release date 1-1-1994
Publisher Enix
Description Consists of one CD and a 20-page illustration booklet. This CD Theater covers Chapters 1 and 2 in the game. As seen in the above illustration, the artwork is gorgeous. It is slightly disconcencerting that Hoimin actually talks and sounds like a hyper little kid, but how should a healer slime be expected to talk? ^^ The voices and sound effects overall are really quite excellent.

Front Back Gypsy sisters
Name Dragon Quest IV CD Theater Volume 2
Release date 2-10-1994
Publisher Enix
Description Consists of one CD and a 20-page illustration booklet. This CD covers Chapters 3 and 4 in the game, featuring Torneko, Mara, and Minea.

Front, Vol 3 Back, Vol 3 A picture is worth a thousand words *_*
Name Dragon Quest IV CD Theater Volume 3
Release date 3-27-1994
Publisher Enix
Description Consists of one CD and a 20-page illustration booklet. This CD covers Chapter 5, beginning with the tragic annihilation of Yusha's village. It features all of the voice actors from the previous chapters, and adds Pizarro (Saro) and Rozary (Rosa). The sound drama incorporates the music and voices quite well, especially in the final battle scene; the magic users are screaming spells, the fighters are roaring as they move in to attack, and the final boss music is playing in the background. Wow.

DQ Fantasia DQ Fantasia back DQ Fantasia binding
Name Dragon Quest Fantasia Video
Release date 1988
Publisher Enix, Tohokushinsha Film Co.
Description Color; Stereo; 43 minutes; 4,800 yen. This is a stage version of Dragon Quest 2 (I believe). I have no beta max to be able to actually play the tape, so everything I know is on the box. The tape has 8 chapters. The following paragraph is on the back cover in English:
LONG AGO, THE LAND OF AREFUGARUDO
WAS RULED BY THE EVIL INCARNATE, "RYOU"
BUT A YOUNG RELATIVE
OF THE LEGENDARY HERO "ROTO",
DEFEATED "RYUO", AND ONCE AGAIN
HE BROUGHT PEACE TO THE LAND.
