| During the events of Ghostbusters, the four Proton Pack wielding, Ghost Trap throwing Paranormal Investigators & Eliminators (Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler, & Winston Zeddemore) defeated the powerful Sumerian God Gozer and saved the World from coming to an end. Unfortunately, the Ghostbusters caused a massive amount of damage while defeating Gozer (they unintentionally imploded some Floors of an Uptown Highrise where they were battling Gozer and when they fried the big bad Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, the City of New York was covered in roasted Marshmallows). The Ghostbusters were fined, sued, and were forbidden from performing Ghost Elimination services. Cut back to five years later. The four Ghostbusters are still alive and well, although their not Bustin'. Ray owns his own Bookshop (which specializes in the Occult) and sometimes performs at Kids' Parties, Winston works with Ray sometimes at Kids' Parties, Peter is the smart-mouthed sarcastic Host of a Fraud Psychic TV show, and Egon works at his own University. Dana Barrett, Peter's former Girlfriend from Ghostbusters, has went to Egon in hopes that he could solve something weird and scary that happened. Dana was out with her Infant Son Oscar and was strolling with him, when the Carrage that had Oscar somehow drove by itself and barely missed crashing into a Bus. Egon sets out to investigate, and gets Ray to help. Unfortunately, thanks to Ray's stupidity and big mouth, Peter also joins in. The three former 'Busters come to Dana's Apartment and examine Oscar. He seems perfectly normal. Somehow, the 'Busters feel that something that was in the Street was responsible for the self-driving Carrage. They use their PKE Meters & Gigameters and trace the source: underground. The guys illegally Drill a hole in the middle of 1st Avenue and send Ray down to investigate what was the cause of the Carrage incident. Ray finds a shocking surprise: A River Of Slime! This Slime River is huge, brews under the Street, infests the old abandoned Van Horne Pneumatic Transit Station, and feeds off the negative Human Emotions of the City!! After Ray grabs a sample of this highly podent Slime via his Slime Collector, he is attacked by some sort of Slimy Creature and is hauled back up to the Street's surface. Like he has before, he screws up again, but big-time; he accidently hits a Cable which causes a massive Blackout all across the City. The guys are in Court for the "Destruction" they caused and beyond that, violating a big restraining order (performing as Paranormal Investigators & Eliminators). They lose the case and are fined and sentenced to several months at Riker's Island, but surprise, as the Slime generates negative Energy due to the angry attitude of the Judge (Stephen Wexler), and awakens the Spirits of two executed Murderers that break into the Courtroom and crash the Party. Fortunately, the guys have their Ghostbusting Equipment in the Court that was on stand, and they use them. Heat 'Em Up! They capture the two Ghosts and their back in business!!! Janine Melnitz, the miserable Secretary from Ghostbusters, is back, as is nerdy Louis Tully, who is the Ghostbusters' Lawyer. The Ghostbusters are back Busting more Ghosts and keeping the City Ghost-free. They even get an awesome new Ectomobile called the Ecto-1A, which is a spruced-up, more high-tech version of their original Ectomobile, the Ecto-1. Cut to the Hook & Ladder No. 8 Firehouse which serves as the Ghostbusters' Headquarters. They test out the Slime they found underground. This Slime is Mood Slime, which feeds off negative Human Emotions and turns them into something evil and very dangerous. However, if overwhelmed with enough positive Emotions, the Mood Slime will turn good. While still investigating, the Ghostbusters find out where the Slime is coming from and what purpose it's serving: Vigo The Carpathian, a Bad To The Bone Tyrant from the 17th Century, lives in a doorway disguised as a Painting in the Manhattan Museum Of Art, where Dana works. Vigo has plans for Dana's Son Oscar: he wants to possess Oscar's body and be reborn into the World on New Year's Day (The Season Of Evil). Vigo is also using The River Of Slime to harvest all of the negative Human Emotions and bad vibes of the City, which he uses to make himself even more powerful and evil. Soon all Hell breaks loose. The Slime River wreaks havoc on the City, bringing in nasty Ghosts and throwing the City into fear. Only the Ghostbusters can stop Vigo's wrath, save Oscar, and save the World from getting sucked into the Tenth Level Of Hell. Will they succeed? You'll have to find out the rest yourself!! *Read the script of Ghostbusters II!
