Ghostbusters II Bloopers
Welcome to the Bloopers section! Here are some Goof-ups that occured in some scenes in Ghostbusters II. After reading this list, you might want to consider watching GB2 and try to spot the goofs...
During the scene where Ray finds the River Of Slime for the first time and is attacked by the Slime Creature, when he's being pulled back up to the surface, his Slime Collector (which he used to grab the Slime sample) becomes long and short throughout.
The Judge says that he doesn't believe in Ghosts nor anything related. That's very odd, because then how do you explain Stay Puft's appearance, the Ghosts roaming New York City, and the booming voice of Gozer in the original Ghostbusters? Same apllies with the Boy at the beginning who said to the Ghostbusters that they were "full of crap".
It is very odd and careless that the Ghostbusters would not try to find the River Of Slime and it's source after they go back in business. The ROS could've posed a big threat to the City, and it did!
The Mechanism that makes the Toaster dance is visible during the scene when the Ghostbusters first test out the positively charged Mood Slime.
Winston's Hard Hat disapears and re-appears in the scene where him along with Ray & Egon hallucinate seeing the decapitated Zombie heads in the Tunnel when they are trying to discover the source of The River Of Slime.
The Ghostbusters cross the Particle Streams in the scenes when they battle the Scoleri Brothers and first strike Vigo (they also Cross The Streams when they first strike the Demonized Vigo head). This was supposed to be extremely dangerous and not to be pulled off!!
The entire Statue Of Liberty sequence itself is strange and is beyond belief. How did she get off the Pedestal and not damage it, whereas she was not articulated, how does she get to the City, not wet, looking completely dry after stepping out of the Water, and as she walks, no incredibly violent sounds nor vibrations seem to occur? Not only that, but when she drops onto the ground next to the Manhattan Museum Of Art, there was no massive vibration nor sound, and she didn't shatter into like let's say... over a zillion pieces. And on top of that, she gets back on her Pedestal in the very final scene!!! Weird stuff!
It is incredibly weird that the Vigo Painting was replaced with the Painting with the Ghostbusters.
Back to The River Of Slime
During the scene where Ray & Winston arm themselves with the Slime Blowers, and after Ray says "It's Slime Time", turn up the brightness on your TV and look closely: you'll see the tubing that shoots the Slime into the Slime Blowers offscreen.
During the ending when the four Ghostbusters along with Dana, Oscar & Louis are walking out of the MMOA, where are the Proton Packs and Slime Blowers? You can't just leave that kind of dangerous Equipment hanging around like that! (and where was Janosz as well?).
During the Statue Of Liberty seqeunce, Peter & Winston switch places a couple of times. First the order is Peter, Winston, Ray & Egon, then it changes to Winston, Peter, Ray & Egon, and then goes back to the original order.
Isn't it weird that the very next day all of the power was running again after the massive blackout that happened the previous day?
Another goof conerning Ray's first discovery of the Slime River is that before he pulls out his Slime Collector, his Flashlight suddenly disappears and is nowhere to be seen.
Where was Winston during the Battle with the Scoleri Brothers? After Ray shouts "No We Didn't!" you can clearly see Winston sitting with the Jury watching the Trial. He could've left during the Trial before the Scoleris' Attack, but it still is strange.
When the four Ghostbusters are freed from Parkview Mental Hospital and they are with Louis, you can see them putting on Grey Belts, but then when they get to the MMOA and start Blasting the Slime Wall that covers the MMOA, their Belts change to Khaki and, when they get to the Statue Of Liberty, their Belts become Black and stay Black throughout the rest of the movie. *Thanks to Austin for spotting this Blooper and informing me about it!!*
In Ray's Bookshop, when Ray picks up the Phone, he has a Pencil in his left Hand, but in the next shot, it's gone, then in the next shot, it's back.
It's also strange that the very next day the Trial took place.
Right after Louis says "I'm Here With You Guys!", you can very clearly see one of the Crew Members in one of the Crowds; he is holding a long Boom Mike.
