Chapter 6~ RememberingHitomi walked into the 'costume' store. She had designed those sketches herself, as you might have know readers, she is a good drawer. Anyhow, all three, mother and children had gone to the 'costume' store. She wanted to get dressed as an Ghean as not to attract much attention when she gets there. She still didn't know how to 'meet' him. But it was something she thought she'd deal with after she got there. She just thought it better to just not attract too much attention in Ghea and to lay low for a while before appearing before the 'media'. (well....i guess they didn't have cameras but I'm very sure they did have newspapers right?)Vron loved his shirt and trousers. It was a red shit, an exact replica of Van's....well just think of him as 'little' Van (^_^). Varie was dressed in a white with some purple at the hems little country girl dress (as in Ghea) while Hitomi was clothed in a white dress with some pink at the hems. It was all Gheaish...well so called anyhow. They were ready to set off. There was still much to think about but for some reason Hitomi just had an urgent feeling to just get there quickly. It was midnight when they got to the track field. Hitomi just thought it better to leave at the place where the whole 'thing' started. Probably there was some kind of magic around that area. Hitomi didn't bring anything with her. She thought it better to leave this life and start a new one. The children were instructed to concentrate on the pendent with Hitomi, the familiar column of blinding blue light appeared. The twins held their breath, they were lifted up to the sky......the magic has begun._____________________________________________________________________________________
"Somewhere in the midst of the forest of Fanalia, lays a secret. A chamber, it was known as a legend and always as just a tale to make Fanalia even more enchanting. It is said that the chamber is the secret to Fanalia's enchanting beauty, lush green hills, and it was also the chamber and its secret in it that protects the place." "Mamma, is this place true?" "Dear Van, please let me finish my story...unless you don't want to hear the end of it." "O no...sorry mommy please go on." "Now thats a good boy, okay, as I have said, its in the forest of Fanalia....its in the midst of the forest meaning the very exact middle of the forest...which is pretty hard to find, at least I think so...." "Oh! Mamma, have you ever seen that place?" "Even if I ever did why would I tell you? It would be more exciting if you have found it out yourself right Van?" "Well....." "Do you want to hear the rest of the story or not?" "Okay....so whats the secret?" "Well...even if I knew I wouldn't tell you, wouldn't it be so much of a wonderful adventure if you found it out by yourself?" "But......"Van sat on the flat rock beside his parents and brother's grave. He remembered the story that his mother never ever had the chance to finish. It was his 5th birthday that day and he was sitting on his mother's lap exactly at this site. It was only a few days later until Folken's dragonslaying mission. Queen Varie got so over worked after those days that she didn't remember to finish the story...Van wondered about what his mother said to him before. He only just remembered this story that his mother had never finished when he went up into the part of the castle that seemed much abandoned. A place where very old old things were stored in. Not much people ...even servants ever go into this room anymore. Van was just very bored this morning and just wandered around the corridor, he wandered up stairs after stairs, ignoring the shouts of some officials who evidently have asked to see the king. Up and up he went, Oh! how much these stairs meant to him. Every step he remembered his happy short years of having a 'family'. Now that word hardly made much sense to him. Anyhow, venturing up the stairs he found a small corridor which looked very much abandoned...in a way. It was evident that no one has been up here much. His eyes traveled about finally finding a door with letters pealing off saying "Nursery". He remembered.Walking into the room brought childhood memories back vividly to his mind. Happy days.....how he longed for to be 'happy'. He walked over to a small desk. He remembered how excited he was when Folken gave him the desk for his 3rd birthday. It made him feel 'bigger'. He walked over to the small desk, opening a drawer he saw a single white feather. Mother had given it to him when he jumped off the castle roof to try his small wings. Escaping a accident, because Queen Varie had been there to rescue Van. After that incident, Van was very unhappy, complaining that he will never had such big and beautiful wings as mamma. In order to hush him down, Queen Varie gave Van a feather of her's. Saying that one day it will be as big as that one.Van looked at it, beside it was a little notebook. He opened it and smiled at his little unruly and awfully written big letters saying many stupid things that happened those days. At the end of the notebook , at the end of the last page, it said, "Onichan is gone! But Vargas say he be back soon. Mamma still did not finish story, but Mamma don't look happy." It was only then that he remembered.Dismissing the awfully dumb question lingering in his mind he thought to himself, "How could you even believe this nonsense! How could I ever thought that it was true!"Walking back to the castle he suddenly stopped. Is it possible? He saw a column of light or thought he saw, far in the distance. Nothing stirred. I couldn't be true! He lingered at his position squinting his eyes while looking into the distance. Nothing stirred. I cannot be. OH! My mind is just not working properly today! He walked on...half doubting himself._____________________________________________________________________________________ "Oh! Mommy! Is this it?!" Varie asked with awe. The stood on a hill...a hill that overlooked Fanalia. It was a beautiful sight. 'Van...you have done a great job....' "Mom, can I FIANALLY spread my wings out now?" "Yes you may." Two little wings popped out of Vron's back, Varie followed, Hitomi at last couldn't resist and did the same. She felt free.....she felt that she has finally came back to home. A wonderful feeling that she has never felt for a long time...relief. She looked at her children, who were now running about, jumping into the air, lingering for a moments in the air when the wind caught underneith their white feathers. Laughing and running Hitomi joined them........ |
