Chapter 5 ~ "Fanalia needs you again...."'I'm spinning! NO! The world is!...okay it's stopping....(whew...sigh...opens her eyes). Hey! This looks so familiar! I have been hear before! But hey, something is different!....omigad! This isn't what I think it is is it?'Before her laid a picture...no it wasn't a picture. It was real, so real so true that she didn't even dare to move, afraid that it might just be some dream and that she might ruin it. Then she knew it. It was Atlantis! But the different thing was that it wasn't in ruins any more! It was beautiful! Once again full of life. Birds flew about, dragonflies flied freely and unconcernly around, Atlantians were laughing gayly...everything was so...peaceful, something that she has become unused to. Large pillars no longer are in crumples, instead they stood up, strong and tall. Buildings were back on their foundation, beautiful, and white as ever. Hitomi looked about in awe.A lady walked towards Hitomi, immediantly she knew it was Queen Varie. "My child, I see that you have done great job at taking care of two of my beautiful grandchildren. Van would be pleased." The Queen's smile was warm, she held out her arms and Hitomi ran into them. They embraced for a second before they let go of each other. "Queen Varie! Why am I here?"Hitomi asked in puzzlement. "You have a mission to accomplish, you are not finished yet, Fanalia still needs you, I am here to ask you to make your choice." "But....I am so confused! Why now?" "Ah, my child, have you not think of consequences before making a wish? After you've made that wish you have become an Atlantian, by becoming the only last pure blood you have a great duty before you." Queen Varie's voice was soothing, it gave Hitomi a warm and safe feeling."What am I to do? What do you want me to do? Have I not done enough for Ghea and more for Fanalia?!" Hitomi cried, after all she has done, she didn't get any repayment....she didn't want money, all she wanted was happiness...well she didn't get that and now they want her to 'help' Fanalia again? Ridiculous! "My dear daughter, do not be angry, someday your dream will come true! Now please, just promise me that you will help Fanalia! Only you can do it!" Queen Varie's gaze was very demanding, "Fine...I guess....one last time." Hitomi answered reluctantly. "Mommy!!!" Hitomi looked about. Those words came out of no where! Where could it have come from? "Your children are calling for you...." Queen Varie said, her voice was starting to echo...like it was leaving her. "NO! Varie do not leave me! No!" Hitomi cried. "I will always be there with you....do not cry my child." The voice was fading..."NO! You haven't told me what am I to do yet!" Hitomi shouted out to the fading image before her between sobs. "When the time comes....you'll know.........." The whole image of Atlantis dissappeared , once again she was spinning.........."Mommy! Are you okay?" Varie shaked her mother with great concern. Vron and her were just playing in their room when they saw the pink light. It was extending slowly and it really frightened her. She had ran out of the room as fast as she could to only see her mother lying on the balcony. Vron was by her in a second. The werid thing was that her mother had wings just like their's sticking out of her back too! "This is way cool." Vron said in awe, for he saw the pendent still glowing.Hitomi stirred..' I knew it! It was just a dream....but....no...more like a vision! Damn! Why couldn't I just let things be the way they were? Now these damn visions are back, this is not real good news' But something deep down inside her was excited...another adventure was coming her way....and she knew she'll meet 'him' soon...."Hey babies." Hitomi yawned...gosh she was exhausted. She opened her eyes to see one very concered face and another face plastered with the word "wow" on it. "Um...Vron..Varie...what is the problem?" Hitomi asked worryly. "Mom! You have wings just like us!!!" Vron's words echoed in Hitomi's ears...so it's true..."Um...Miss Kanzaki why do you want to leave? I mean...is it that you find this job unsuiting to you? Is there anything I can do to make you stay? Or have you found another 'better' job?" Huzaka asked...Hitomi was one of his best reporter and writers, he cannot lose her! He kept on following Hitomi about while Hitomi was cleaning her office. Finally Hitomi stopped what she was doing, "No, I did not find a better job, I would never find an even better job then this. Huzaka, you have helped me alot. I really appreciated it. This is just...well something personal that I must deal with...it's not you or any body here. It's just me. If I 'ever' come back I promise I'll come back here to work for you again." With that Hitomi gave Huzaka a hug and left her office with two boxes. When she got to the door of her office she turned her head around and called out, "Ahem! I'm leaving! Vron! Varie! Comon!" Everyone stopped in their tracks, everyone outside the office stopped. Hitomi didn't seem to notice, she started walking towards the doors of the building, behind her were two little 5 year olds scurrying after her with each holding a small box of things. Oh! They were so cute. This was the first time ever that they'd seen the famous 'babies' of the famous Hitomi."Um...mommy, I don't get it, where are we going?" Vron asked excitingly, he has never been out of Tokyo before, not even to his grandparents so it was really exiting to know that they were going somewhere. "Our first stop will be our apartment." Hitomi was really amused by her lil boy's excitment. "Awwwww....then?" Vron asked hopefully. "Well then we're going to go pick up our costumes...." Hitomi trailed off giggling with Varie by her side to steady her. "COSTUMES???!!! what...wha...wha...cos..tumes?" Vron gasped between words from catching up to his mother. "Oh! Do you guys have to know everything? It is better for little kids not to know so much." With that Hitomi ended the converstaion to leave the two twins wondering. She opened the apartment door placed the boxes on the floor then collapsed on the sofa sobbing with excitment...
