Chapter 10 ~ SeparatedHitomi sighed. She stood in the middle of their cozy home. Yes, home, this little place has been their home for a year already. How fast time flies. Her heart still ached to leave this place, a place where she earned and built for herself and her babies."Mom, will I be needing this?" Varie was holding up a white dress (Fanalian style).Hitomi smiled, how beautiful Varie looked in the Fanalian outfits. " Might as well pack it up," Hitomi instructed. All three of them have been packing. Getting ready to leave. After receiving her instructions, Hitomi understood the fact that she was to go through another journey but this time by herself. She didn't want to bring her babies along, it will just put them in danger and there was also the fact that they are still so young, with so much ahead for them."Mom, so where are you traveling to?" Vron asked."Well, I'm really not that sure of it myself, however, I know that I will be guided." Hitomi responded. After hours of thinking, she still didn't really have an idea of where she is going exactly, but she will figure that out later, first she has to get the twins to where they will be safe."Okay, lets go through this again." Hitomi said. The twins groaned. They have been going through "it" all of last night. "Vron? Varie?" Hitomi raised her eye brows. Vron and Varie sighed and Varie humped a little before setting her little pack down. She then sat on it and began to cry (she can produce tears in matter of seconds). "Mommy...I want mommy!...." Varie wailed. Hitomi looked over to Vron who went through his pocket and unfolded a note that read:Vron and Varie are both five years old. I must leave them for now but I promise I will be back for them. "And who are you suppose to give this note to?" Hitomi questioned. "To whoever finds us at the place you are taking us to." Vron replied monotoniously. "Good" Hitomi said. Varie immediantly stopped crying and they continued down the path. "And remeber, don't tell anyone my name..." it was Hitomi's last instruction.Hitomi was leaving her twins at the Royal Fanalian Graveyard. She knows that Van will find the twins there and bring them back to the castle. As long as they are under his protection, it will be fine with her. At the end of the forest path that lead to the clearing of the royal graveyard, Hitomi stopped. She knelt down on the soft dirt and gave her two babies a big squezy hug. "Mommy loves you guys, I love you guys forever. You believe me right? I WILL be back for you. I just have to leave this place for a little while, I love you guys...believe me...I will be back for you both...." Hitomi was sobbing hysterically. Sometimes she blames herself for not being as good of a mom as she have always hoped she'd be. Her beauitufl babies have always understood and not questioned. Their honest eyes reflected how much they depended on her."Mom, its okay, we understand...if anything goes terribly wrong, we will fly and go find you.....that's what wings are for right?" Vron said, holding back a sob himself. This time, Varie was really crying. "Mommy, we believe you, we know you will be back for us..." Hitomi hugged them close. "Guys, I'm so sorry....."*************************************************************************************************************************************Van walked down the forest path to the again, visit his family....dead family that is. He stopped suddenly, he heard sobbings and voices. His hands automatically reached for his sword. He cautiously walked to the clearing. He was really surprised. The two kids from the day before were sitting on the rock....'his' rock. The little girl was crying and the little boy was trying desperatley to sooth her.Vron looked up and saw the man that he saw the other day at the market. He nudged Varie who saw and began wailing even louder..."MOMMY!!!! I WANT MOMMY!!!!"....she produced an impressive amount of tears. Vron dug into his pocket and handed the man the note.Van studied the note. Parents abandoning kids...how awful. He pitied the kids, he still remembered life without parents...awful...that was the word for it."Hi, do you kids still remember me? Would you like to come with me to where I live? I will take care of you guys until your parents come and get you guys, alright?" The twins nodded.------------------------------------- "Show them to a nice room and clean them up, they are to stay around for awhile." Van instructed a maid. "And bring them to me in my study after they are all cleaned up."Van walked to his study, he bumped into Allen on the way and told him about what he found at the royal graveyard. Allen was quite impressed that Van actually brought them back to the castle with him. "What kind of parent would abandon kids? Gosh!" Allen said. Van looked at him with questioning eyes. "Well...which IS why it is very important to care for them and give them a good education...." Allen chose his words carefully. Van has been very edgy lately....------------------------------------ "Wow! We will be living royally!...." Vron was very happy.....since his mother's departure. Varie was beside herself with joy..."I can't believe mom left us with the king!" They both smiled...maybe this won't be that bad after all.........
