Gigantic Dragons
When discussing Ghea (Gaea whatever), it is important
to not forget the dragons. After all, even though now they are in the number two position,
before humans became the most powerful, the dragons were at the top of the order of living
things.
For purposes of general classification, there are three
types: flying dragons, water dragons (also referred to as 'sea dragons'), and land
dragons. Of these, the most powerful are the flying dragons. The next most powerful is the
water dragon, and then, finally, the land dragon. The difference in abilities among the
three is so great, that if the three types got into battle, the difference in power would
be made very obvious.
The dragons which entered into the legends and myths of
Earth may have been created by someone who had seen the dragons of Ghea (Gaea whatever),
much like Hitomi and Amano. But the difference between the dragons of myth and the dragons
of Ghea (Gaea whatever) is that the dragons of myth understand human speech and have
intelligence like human beings. No dragon with such qualities have ever been discovered in
Ghea (Gaea whatever). But it is true that dragons have a long life span, and there are so
many areas in Ghea (Gaea whatever) that no one has ever set foot in, so it is possible
that such dragons, having lived so many years, may actually exist.
There are still many mysteries surrounding dragons. But one
thing we know is their source of energy: the Drag Energist. The Drag Energist, like the
one that Van got from the land dragon in the first episode, is a crystal that is created
within the dragons body. Because humans want this precious resource, the dragons have been
indiscriminately hunted, and their numbers are dwindling. The Valley of the Dragons, where
Fanelia is located, is one of the few ares where dragons still exist, but the number of
dragons has been decreasing in recent years. It is possible that the dragons are close to
becoming extinct.
But, for Ghea (Gaea whatever), the existence of dragons is
necessary. If they were to become extinct, what would happen as a result? Even now, there
is no way to predict what would occur.
