Folken is a prince of Fanalia. His father died when he was about 15. He, like Van he is a Dragconian and has wings too. So to suceed the thrown he had to slay a dragon. While doing so he was caught off guard and the dragon tore off his right arm. He was ready to die when and fainted. When he woke up he found himself in a weird place and his torn off arm replaced by a steel one. He later learned that he was in the Ziabach empire and that Dornkirk the Emperor of Zaibach had saved him. Folken was later persauded to join Zaibach, the reason was also because he had no face to show his country because he did not suceed the thrown. He then became a really powerful and important person in the Zaibach empire. Later in the story, he rejoins Van and Hitomi's side. At that time his wings turned black, that is because when a Dragconian is going to die their wings will turn black (so they actually know that they're going to die beforehand). When he killed Dornkirk he died himself too while killing the old guy.
