Chid is the Prince of Fried. His mother died when he was about 2 . He admires Allen alot because his mother told him of the Hevenly Knight of Austria. He is actually Allen's son but he himself never knew. Prince Chid did not play a great part in Escaflowne but since he was Marlene and Allen's son, he was sort of special in some way.
