Chapter 15~ Aishiteru (I Love You)

    She stood there, motionless, her long brown hair flying over her face from the wind that was blowing in from the entrence of the school. She looked beautiful, the perfect picture of the dream girl Van always daydreamt of. Van thought as he stood there too motionless, his fist clenched real tight together from his excitement. He came back to his senses only when he was gripping the pendent so hard that it hurted. He shook his head, trying to make sure it wasn't a dream. It wasn't.

    It's really him! After all this time! He's grown! Hitomi thought, he was standing there, as tall as Allen. He had lost his boy fat now, he has grown fast only two months had passed and he had grown so tall, her eyes betrayed her, tears were starting to form from her eyes, tears of happiness. After all this miserable time, her heart finally opened again, opened big, she smiled, she can feel her other half of her heart that she left with Van back now, she was full, she was once again her happy self. Just by looking at him, she felt whole once again.

    Both lovers were lost in their own thoughts until Millerna ran up to Hitomi again screaming, "HITOMI!!!!!!!!" All eyes were on Hitomi now and her beautiful blonde and attractive friend.Then to the other two guys accompying the beautiful blonde. "MILLERNA!!!!!!!!!!!!" Hitomi herself screamed with delight and excitment while running towards each other in a tight embrace. Both girls were practically screaming their heads off, Hitomi felt whole again, seeing Millerna made her remember the lively young ways of her's and she was influenced by it because she was all smilely now, jumping, and most importantly her eyes were shinning with happiness that she has never felt before ever since she came back from Ghea.

    The 'SY' group having heard the romour that spread like wildfire that Hitomi had special visitors or something like that, came to watch. Huzuko was also there too. Both Huzuko and Yukari regconized the faces of Millerna, Allen, and Van, for they have seen the sketches of them before. 'He's here....' was all Huzuko thought, he felt down and dejected, he won't ever ever ever have a chance with Hitomi. Yukari was now just all surprised, she never thought that those sketches were real people. She was now all jealous on how Hitomi got all the attention and these special friends.

    "Ahem!" Both happy girls turned to find a extremely vexed Allen. "You guys over yet? Hitomi, you've got one more here to greet, as for Van, naw, you're already................" Allen was interuppted by Van who used his elbow and nugded real and I mean real hard into Allen's ribs. "Ow!!Wha da!!!....." Allen almost shouted. The handsome young knight suddenly realized what he was about to say and started chuckling. Some girls who stood by in the hall way 'ooo' a little at the handsome young knight. Hitomi and Millerna watched and giggled histerically. "Hey, so, how have you been Princess Millerna?" Hitomi asked. "It's Queen Millerna mylady." Allen interuppted. Hitomi gasped, "Queen? How did you?How about Dryden?" Hitomi asked, she was so surprised, Millerna only 15 the same age as her and convinced her people that she had the ability to rule alone. "Naw, he was all too gloomy and loved to travel, not fit for a king, his knowlege yes, but....I don't want to think about marrige, it's annoying...but did you know that maybe sister will marry Sir Gwen?" Millerna said cheerfully yet proudly in a queenly manner. "Oh?" Hitomi was extremely surprised that Princess Eries will even consider to have a lover. "Well, that's what I call news." Hitomi giggled. Both girls were so caught up in their talking that Van and Allen were very very very annoyed.

    Allen was still extremely annoyed for he wanted to be in the converstation and just couldn't find the right corner to jump in. Van by the way felt whole again, he was all happy already, just by seeing her, it was enough. He smiled silently to himself, seeing Hitomi so happy, but why was she in such distress earlier before? He had to ask her. All were so happy that they didn't realize the faces that kept on looking at them curiously.

    "Hey, where did you guys spend the night at?" Hitomi asked cheerfully. "Oh, we spent a night at a place called Holiday Inn, it was really comfortalbe, it was extremely cool too! There was this thing, that when you just twist it water comes out of a metal tube thingy." Millerna's excited tone made Hitomi want to laugh even more. She felt so good laughing, laughing felt like it was healing her, healing her miserable and damaged heart. "Then we gave them three gold coins and they went all big eye and everything, I don't get it." Millerna said, confused. "Well, you see, in this world we use paper money not gold or silver coins. And gold is really precious in a way but not so precious like diamond and rubies. Anyway gold is worth alot over here." Hitomi explained. "Well I guess you got yourself caught up in the latest fashion huh?" Hitomi mused, looking Millerna all over, she hardly ever wore clothes that Millerna were wearing, Millerna looked real beautiful in that outfit. Then she turned to Allen, "Wow, good, the color matches you...." Hitomi looked him all over, and nodded in a very wisely manner. "Oh, the clerk guy helped us." Allen said, happy to at least get to tell that to Hitomi something. Finally Hitomi turned to Van who wasn't paying attention, rather looking around the whole place, it was unfamiliar, and he was curious.

    "Hey, biguy, you were the same height as me the last time I saw you!" Hitomi giggled. (I want you readers to get the picture that the hall way is filled with kids walking about, only that some girls and boys kept on looking at them, so it isn't like everyone is all standing there and staring at them, get it? Cuz it'll be too akward for them Gheans.) Van flushed, first Millerna treated him all motherly and now Hitomi, still he sort of liked it. Van didn't say anything, he was always like that anyway, Hitomi understood and smiled. She had always loved that hair of his. He looked extremely handsome and hot in that outfit too. "Here." Van said. Girl's standing by started whispering, they finally heard his voice and it was deep and handsome. Van handed the pendent that layed in his hands and placed it gently on Hitomi's. "You found me with this?" Hitomi asked, amused. Van nodded his head. "How long did it take you guys?" Hitomi asked Van. "A real long time. But it was worth it." He smiled at Hitomi.

    Huzuko was down. He could see just between a few words that Hitomi and Van were meant to be together. Yukari by the way was extremely surprised to see Van hand the pendent that Hitomi's grandmother gave Hitomi to Hitomi, so that dragon and boy who killed it were real! She finally realized.

    "Hey! Comon! You guys can come to my house." With that Hitomi took Van's hand and Millerna's while Allen scowled, feeling left out. "Why do I have to be the tag-along?" Then he realized that it was because he was a knight not a Queen or a King. They walked for about five mintues, everyone was happy and chatting along the road to Hitomi's house. Only Van was silent, exchanging glances with Hitomi constantly.

    When they arrived at Hitomi house, Mrs.Kanzaki was extremely surprised to find her daughter's extreme change of mood. She was glad to see the change however, except....two guys......(well a mother is a mother). "Mom, this is Van Salazer de Fanel, this is Millerna Aston, and this is Allen Schzear." Mrs.Kanzaki shook hands with them, both boys were exceedingly handsome and the girl was very beautiful. Then when the three royal guests were seated in front of the TV which they started to OHHH and AHHH over Hitomi explained to her mother that they were from Ghea. Her mother nodded her head when she realized that she had royals as guests and went into the kitchen to cook something special.

    After a hearty meal, Mrs.Kanzaki could tell how much these friends meant to Hitomi. It was a long time since the family had a happy meal, Hitomi's well being and happiness made the gloomy household liven up once again. After dinner Allen and Van couldn't get over the TV and went back watching some movies with Hitomi's brother feeling smart because he was instructing them on how to use it and explaining things to them, he loved the audience who listened intently at him. Hitomi led Millerna to her room, oh! Millerna asked soooooooo many questions! Hitomi giggled hysterically and answered all of them between gasps for air because she was laughing so hard. Both girls talked deep into the night, anyway, it was going to be Saturday tomrrow, sleeping late was okay. Millerna slept with Hitomi that night while Van and Allen slept in the guest room. It was comfortable. Still Van was not satisfied, he wanted time alone with Hitomi.

    Van couldn't sleep, he kept on thinking of Hitomi.

    Same went for Hitomi, she couldn't sleep, it nice to see Millerna her now bestfriend sleeping peacefully and soundly beside her though.

    Van walked to the backyard, it was pretty chilly but it was okay, something he could handle, the chillniness felt pretty good too. The air was not so stuffy too, he stared into the sky. He saw the moon, he wondered how Brek too it when he just stomped out of the dinning hall. Merel must be throwing a big fit back there with poor Celena unhappy too. Sarala must be still tagging along or just having fun riding horses or trying to catch butterflies.

    Van was suddenly tensed up when he heard the screen door slide open. Hitomi was standing there in a robe, her hair was flying from the gentle wind. "Mind if I join you, o dear king of Fanalia?" Hitomi asked teasingly. Van smiled at her, oh! she looked lovely. Hitomi sat down beside her beloved. "I couldn't sleep." Was all Van said, Hitomi nodded quietly meaning that she couldn't sleep too. "Van...I'm so happy that you came here...." Hitomi said silently as she tilted her head and settle it snuggly on Van's shoulder. Van pulled her closer to him, oh! how he loved it! It was perfect, his wish had come true he had always wished they could be like this forever, just in each other's presence, sitting there, peacefully....together.

    The silent Van finally asked Hitomi, "Why were you in such distress?" Van frowned. "That was because I was having a miserable time without you." Hitomi said sincerely, her eyes shinning with tears remembering the pain. Van used his thumb and wiped the tears away gently from her glistening cheeks. Van gently lifted Hitomi's chin up level to his, his lips pressed gently against hers, then he said in a whisper that only Hitomi could hear, "Aishiteru."
