For a while now I have been wanting to make a clean cut, straight up, action video that I could watch and be like I want to kick some ass now. Well, now sleep deprived, I have finished the video that will do just that. It's to a Manson song called Little Horn, which for the concept of this video, I have interpreted the song like this: the song is about a boy letting his Inner Demon loose on the world, releasing it through anguish of some sort. In the video this anguish comes when Shinji and Asuka have a fight, through this fight they release their demons upon the world.
I edited the song a little bit by making it shorter, because I was running out of footage to use for the video. "But Joe how can one run out of footage using a 2 minute song, and a movie abundent with footage?" Well first of all I only wanted to showcase Shinji and Asuka, so no Rei in the entire video. Second, watch the video, it's DAMN fast, hence REALLY fast cuts.
Please have as much fun watching this as I did making it. |

I never expected this to work out like it did. I took a really odd Eels song (all of them are) and edited it to Totoro thinking the outcome would just be odd. In the end it became a really fun, cute fairytale style video. I tried not to use too many effects, only in the transition scenes, basically only where it was needed. Photoshop was also only used for 2 scenes, the scene where Mai is poking Totoro couldn't be done without photoshop, because I was unable to loop that scene so I needed to doctor in a Totoro that wasn't moving. Think of the storyline of the video just being two curious children having fun. Their discoveries grow as the video moves on. I was able to finish this video pretty fast, I never had any problems with getting stuck and such. So anyway please Enjoy. |

I had been looking for a song to make a video to Jin-Roh for a long time. It wasn't until I bought the new Rammstein disk that I found a song that clicked. At first this video was being approached like an action video, but that idea was soon scratched. As a drama video it would be better to put a storyline in and to me this made the video alot more meaningful. Also as a drama video I felt it would flow alot smoother. At the end I didn't realize how technical this video was getting till I watched it when I was done. I used more photoshop to doctor scenes in this video then all of mine combined. The storyline I wanted to achieve in this video is to show how someone (Fuse) could go from a totally normal person, to a vicious, emotionless killer, kind of how wolves are portrayed in stories. I used a couple dream sequences to show this growing in him. In the end he gets lost in his viciousness...
This video has been revamped, I love it when new programs and filters come out, horray! |
