Featured Team of the Week:
The Connecticut Thunder

By: Alex Winter

The Connecticut Thunder, they had a .294 average this past championship year

Congratulations to the Connecticut Thunder for winning the 2007 ABLCS, they have had an amazing run this year, edging Boston for the Northeast Division title by a single game and then eliminating Detroit in 4 games, Chicago in 5 games, and then winning a gutwrenching 7 game series versus the ever-powerful Miami Talons. Unlikely hero Antonio Cortina lead the offense with a .396 average, 5HRs and 8RBI and another unlikely hero, Anthony Scott lead the pitching with a 4-0 record and a 1.76 ERA. Those people along with the consistent play of the other teammates lead to a dream of a season and a championship for the small state of Connecticut.
