All I gotta say is...
Why are you reading this? Go out and see Star Wars Episode III right now!
What's it about?
This is the climactic ending to a series started long, long ago (1977) in a galaxy far, far away by none other than moviemaker George Lucas. The final episode tells of how Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) is seduced and turned to the darkside of The Force. Of course we learn the fates of many of the other popular characters in the Star Wars saga such as Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor), Yoda, Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson), Padme (Natalie Portman), the lovable droids R2-D2 and C-3P0, villains like The Emperor (Ian McDiarmid) and Count Dooku (Christopher Lee), but the central figure throughout the entire series is Anakin. We have seen his rise to Jedi Knight from when he was a young boy (Ep.I) to a Padawan (Ep.II) and of course after his transformation to Darth Vader in the original series (Eps.IV, V, VI). Fans of the original flicks know the outcome but we desperately want to know, what happened in between?!

All Star Wars fans! Simply put, a Star Wars fan who hasn't seen Episode III isn't a Star Wars fan.
My Thoughts
Finally! What all of us die-hard Star Wars fans have been waiting for! I thought Episode I was crap and Episode II was a little better but Episode III definitely makes up for anything the first two were lacking. Dialogue? Not great but much better. Silly characters? Except for a couple of badly done voices and an appearance by Jar Jar, pretty much kept to a minimum. Sappy romance? Not as bad as Episode II. Acting? Great improvement from Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen especially in the final climactic scene. Action? A ton. Oh yeah, I almost forgot...Lightsaber fights? In a word-The Bomb! Before I watched this movie my main concern was how George Lucas would connect Episode III to Episode IV. I must say I was very satisfied. Ian McDiarmid stole the show as The Emperor and delivered many great lines sure to go down in Star Wars history. This movie just plain kicked ass on all levels and I'd have to rank it #2 among the Star Wars films with Episode VI being the best. Have fun while you enjoy this ride and "May The Force be with you!"
