What's it about?
This is a remake of the 1974 movie starring Burt Reynolds. This version also features Burt Reynolds this time as the coach of an American football team made up of inmates within the walls of a Texas prison. Adam Sandler is a former pro star quarterback who is recently thrown in prison and persuaded to head this team of misfits to play against (and lose badly thus boosting the confidence of) the team made up of the prison guards.

Fans of Adam Sandler, American football, and/or comedies in general.
My Thoughts
I haven't seen the original film so I can't and won't try to compare the two. With stars such as Adam Sandler and Chris Rock appearing, you can expect this to be a comedy. Along with the laughs are plenty of hits, a ton of musicians, NFL football players, and pro wrestlers (including Bob Sapp) and a post-baby Courteney Cox (Monica on Friends). Nothing or no one for that matter, really stuck out at me in this film although Bob Sapp certainly held his own for an acting role. For me, this was a pretty typical Adam Sandler movie--the funny parts were funny, the other parts were not so interesting. Rent this movie to see the stars and have a few laughs.
