Death Penalty

There is really a lot of debate over whether the death penalty is humane or not.  Most consider it inhumane and states have even banned it from their court system with the exception of Texas and a few others.  There are even countries that have it banned because it's inhumane.  But the question for me is this:  Is it more humane to have someone killed...or let them rot in prison, in the worse conditions possible waiting to die?
Basically I am for the death penalty in only one occasion...where the life in prison penalty is in effect for a court.  Personally I believe it is inhumane for a person to be confined to the same building for their entire life.  If the death penalty replaces the life in prison penalty, it would save a lot of money for the prisons to improve conditions for people who have time to serve rather then people waiting to die.  As I end this I leave you for this question to ponder...Would you rather wait for your entire life...or end it quickly saving you from all that suffering?
