Note 1 – Dickson is a Rams again

Itimi Dickson may have been handed a 6 months ban by FAS but there was still good news for the Singapore midfielder as he finally found a club for the 2006 season.

His former club, Woodlands Wellington before he was drafted into the Young Lions squad in 2004, have re-signed him back on a 1-year contract and rumors are circulating that the club is paying him S$5000 which is what he was on at Young Lions.

This mean Itimi have backed away from the S$10000 he was demanding from S-league clubs looking for his services and the Rams, who were rumored to be willing to pay as high as $$6000 before the FAS ban, have benefited from the problems of Itimi.

Rams coach Karim Bencherifa was delighted to have signed Itimi as the club have lost Ahmad Latiff who played on the right to Johor and was looking for a player to fill in that position.

Note 2 – Peres transfer to Champions hit snag

Peres De Oliveira moves to Champions Tampines Rovers have hit a snag as his former club Home United demanded S$18000 in compensation fee under S-league rules.

The rules that was implemented in 2004 stated if the transfer is between S-league clubs, the player former club can claimed up to 3 months of a player salary from his existing club so as to protect smaller clubs from bigger cash-rich clubs

The Champions are unwilling to pay but with the S-league backing Home United on the matter, it seem the Eastern based club will have to dip into pocket for the sum.

The 2003 player of the Year have scored 106 S-league goals since joining Home United back in 1999.
