| We are a hobby breeder that believes there are certain ethical standards that must be followed to assure our baby ferrets brought into this world are healthy, happy and go to forever loving homes. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Before we obtain a ferret for breeding purposes, we trace the pedigrees of their preceding generations for health and longevity. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Our goal is to only breed for the betterment of the breed. We do not knowingly breed any ferret that may transmit genetic defects. We do not breed angoras or for fancy colors that may carry genetic defects. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Our kits are handled daily from birth to their placement to assure they are happy, loving and have good temperaments. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Kits are not available for placement until they reach 10 weeks of age. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A $50 deposit is required to hold your kit after they reach reach 2 weeks of age. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Our ferrets are tested twice annually for Aleutian Disease Virus (ADV). We have never had a ferret that has tested positive. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We offer a two year health guarantee for any congenital related defects. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We offer a money back 15 day no questions asked return policy from the date of purchase. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Depending on their age, all kits come with complete distemper and rabies shots. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Kits placed for breeding are only sold to reputable established breeders that we personally know. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We require a contract signed on the day of purchase stating the kit will be neutered or spayed after they reach maturity, 6 month for females and 7 months for males. We will refund $25 to you after we receive proof of neutering or spaying. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It is requested our kits not be descented unless for medical reasons. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We are very concerned as to the placements of our kits to insure they go to forever loving homes. After you inquire to purchase a kit we will request you complete a questionnaire to assure a ferret is right for you. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| We do not ship our kits. They must be picked up in person at our ferretry. However, we can deliver kits at many ferret shows we attend throughout the year. See our show schedule. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| For any reason you want to relinquish your ferret regardless of its age or condition you must contact us for return of the ferret. If you have found what you believe to be a loving home to place your ferret, we request an interview with and approval of the prospective new owner. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| After a placement of a kit from us you become a part of Savannah Lakes Ferretry. We are always open for any comments, questions or assistance you may need. In approximately six months from date of placement, you will receive a satisfaction survey from us. Completion of the survey lets us know how we are doing as a breeder. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
