S.L.F.A. General Rules |

This page is dedicated to rules within S.L.F.A. Everything you need to know about running a team will be in this page. NOTE: These rules may change from time to time as further changes may develop.
Managers may appeal for rule changes by sending an e-mail to the S.L.F.A. Commissioner. Details on how to do this will be at the bottom of this page. |

|
Part 1. League Structure
1.1 - SLFA consists of 36 clubs divided equally in 3 divisions of 12 clubs.
STAR DIVISION DIVISION ONE DIVISION TWO
1.2 - Each club is managed by one manager and one manager only. 1.3 - In only certain circumstances that a team can be managed by a second manager. This will be allowed if either a caretaker manager is installed or a manager for example is on holiday etc. |

Part 2. Fines
2.1 - SLFA Commissioner has the right to fine a club if they have not followed any of the rules on this page. Also if a manager conducts himself outside the spirit of the game he may be sacked. SLFA will not tolirate any racial abuse and verbal abuse about or to any other manager. This will lead to instant dismissal!!!
2.2 - Teamsheet fines will be enforced if any of the following is committed.
NO TEAMSHEET - Default sheet will be used. 1 ERROR IN TEAMSHEET - Divisional commishes may correct or use default sheet CONTINUIOUS ERRORS IN TEAMSHEET - Default sheet used and club fined 200k each mistake. (It is upto the manager to use the teamsheet checker). 2 MISSING TEAMSHEETS - Default sheet will be used and club will be fined 500k 3 MISSING TEAMSHEETS - Default sheet used and INSTANT DISMISSAL. |

Part 3. Appeals
3.1 - A manager has the right to appeal against any decidsion made against them. (The appeal wil be reviewed by the commissioner and the 3 divisional commishes). If the appeal can't be decided it will then be put forwards to the whole of SLFA.
3.2 - If the appeal is unsuccessful the appealing manager may be fined depending on how serious the appeal.
3.3 - Managers can also appeal if they feel another manager has acted unfairly to the game or to another manager. (SLFA will look into the claim and if found guilty the manager will be fined or dismissed. If the manager who who appeals for a claim against a fellow manager is found to be untrue then the appealing manager will be fined or dismissed)!!
3.4 - All appeals should be sent by e-mail to the commissioner woth the subject heading SLFA Appeal. |

Part 4. Rosters
4.1 - Rosters must have the minimum of 18 players.
4.2 - Rosters may have the maximum of 30 players.
4.3 - If a club has less than the minimum amount of players the club will be fined 500k each week until the club reaches the minimum limit. |

Part 5. Competitions
5.1 - League - Each division has 12 teams each play each other twice (home and away). This making each team play 22 league games which makes up a full season.
5.2 - Pele Cup - The Pele Cup is a competition within SLFA which starts as 9 groups of 4 clubs. The top 2 clubs in each table qualify to the next stages and then play in a 2 leg game. This carrys on until only 2 clubs are in the final and is settled over 1 game at a neutral venue.
5.3 - SLFA Cup - There is a qualifier for the bottom 8 teams in division 2. Then the 4 winners progress through to the next round. Then all Star and Division 1 clubs join the qualifying division 2 clubs. Each games are then played over one game and the winners then progress to the next rounds and so on until the final.
5.4 - Friendlies - Friendlies can be arranged by managers during pre-seasons. Also the commissioner will allocate a certian time during the season for friendlies. |

Part 6. Promotion and Relegation
6.1 - In SLFA the following Promotion and Relegation rules apply:
Star Division - Division One:
6.2 -The bottom 2 clubs in the Star Division are automatically relegated and the third bottom club in Star Division will be put into a play off with third highest placed in Division One.
6.3 - The top 2 clubs from Division One will be automatically be promoted and third placed club will go into the play off with the third bottom Star Division club.
Division One - Division Two:
6.4 -The bottom 2 clubs in Division One are automatically relegated and the third bottom club in Division One will be put into a play off with third highest placed in Division Two.
6.5 -The top 2 clubs from Division Two will automatically be promoted and third placed club will go into the play off with the third bottom Division One club. |

Part 7. Newspaper
7.1 - All managers are encouraged to write a club newsletter/club update. This adds finances to your clubs account and It also adds fun to the game.
7.2 - Newpaper articals can be about any of the following topics:
Players for sale Players wanted News about your club Reviews on matches
Basically anything about your club and you even may want to have the banter about a manager. PLEASE NOTE: If you have the banter about a manager please do not take it to far or serious as you may find yourself FINED or DISMISSED!!!
7.3 - A newspaper artical is awarded an amount of money towards there clubs funds this may be used for future transfers or auctions etc.
7.4 - The amount decided is awarded by the Newspaper Editor it is his decision how much an artical is worth. This will be based on quantity and quality. |

Part 8. End of the season Awards
At the end of each season there will be an award ceremony for the following awards:
8.1 - Fair Play Award The team with the least DP's shall be awarded the Fair Play Award at the end of each season. This carries no bonuses and only for prestige.
8.2 - Golden Boot This is awarded to the player that scores the most goals in one season. The player will recieve 150 ability points.
8.3 - Most Assists The player that produces the most assists in one season will recieve this award. The player will recieve 150 ability points.
8.4 - Golden Gloves The goalkeeper that makes the most saves during one season will be awarded the Golden Gloves. The goalkeeper will recieve 150 ability points.
8.5 - Original Bad Boy Award The player to recieve the most DP's will recieve this award to become the SLFA's worst behaved player. This player will be docked 100 abiltiy points.
8.6 - Player of the Year Award The player that recieves this award is based on the following formula: Goals*9 + shots + tackles*6 + saves*3 + Assists*7 + keypasses*4 - DP's This player recieves 250 ability points.
8.7 - Young player of the Year Award This is the exact same as the player of the year but all young player are to be under the age of 21. This player will recieve 250 ability points.
8.8 - Manager of the Year Award This award is recieve by vote of all managers. There is no bonuses for this award just the title as the best manager. If the vote is tied the SLFA Commissioner will have the final say. |

Part 9. Skill increases and Skill decreases
At the end of each season player recieve skill increases or skill decreases. These are as follows:
9.1 - Skill increases
Players 16 + 17 years of age will recieve + 2 main + 1 secondary Players 18 - 21 years of age will recieve + 1 main + 1 secondary
Players that are aged between 22 - 31 will recieve no increases and decreases except from what they earn during the season.
9.2 - Skill decreases
Players 32 years of age will recieve -1 main Players 33 years of age will recieve -2 main -1 secondary Players 34 years of age will recieve -3 main -2 secondary Players 35 years of age will recieve -4 main -3 secondary Players 36 years of age will recieve -5 main -4 secondary Players 37 years of age will RETIRE (You can extend this players contract for an extra one season) No points will be deducted due to this player retiring!!! |

Part 10. Testimonials
10.1 - Manager testimonials will be played in SLFA. When a manager has served in a team for 6 seasons under the same team they will be able to recieve a testimonial. Only managers can recieve a match on that sixth season and the club will choose who they will play and will recieve 1 million per match.

Part 11. Club Trainers
11.1 - Club trainers will help your players gain valuable ability points at the end of each season.
11.2 - Club trainers cost 2 Million each. There are 3 different trainers whom you may choose before the start of any season, these are as follows:
Main Skill Trainer Secondary Skill Trainer Third Skill Trainer
11.3 - Club trainers are for a full season and awards every player in your team extra abs at the end of each season.
Main skill = 250 abs - Secondary skill = 500abs - Thrid skill = 500abs. |

Part 12. Divisional Awards
When the end of the season arrives each division has prize money to be awarded for there position.
ALL DIVISIONS:
1st = 10 Million 2nd = 8.5 Million 3rd = 7.5 Million 4th = 7 Million 5th = 6.5 Million 6th = 6 Million 7th = 5.5 Million 8th = 5 Million 9th = 4.5Million 10th 4 Million 11th = 3.5 Million 12th = 3 Million
This awarded money will be placed into club funds at the end of each season. |

Part 13. Stadium Upgrades
13.1 - Club stadiums can be upgraded once a season and construction takes a maximum of one whole season.
13.2 - Stadiums can be upgraded with tiers.
13.3 - The following prices are for stadium upgrades:
Sideline Tier = 10,000 Seats = 6 Million Behind Goal Tier = 5,000 Seats = 3 Million Stadium Premier Package = 15,000 Seats = 8 Million
13.4 - Each Club can improve there stadiums to a maximum capacity of 120,000 seats.
