Sure you've heard Clapton do
'Crossroads' but that is a far cry from the way
the song was originally done. Written and
performed first by a man named Robert Johnson, it
was one of many, by Johnson and others, that
would epitimise the Delta blues sound and style.
This style is the foundation of all blues music.
Many people don't think of, or
don't know about, the roots of the blues. There
were no electric guitar solos or hard driving
bass lines. Instead, think of someone beating out
a tune on a weather beaten, road worn six string
hoping for little more than maybe their next
meal.
Here are some pictures
taken locally of people who love to play
the blues. You can ask any of these folks
and they'll tell you it's all about
getting together and having a good time
with other musicians. This is truely a
mix... some people who have played
together and have a history which goes
back years.... others are brand new but
have that burning desire to play the
blues.... it doesn't matter either
way.... as long as everyone gets their
bite.
You can go here if you are
interested in listening to some original blues
music. Music made right in the middle of blues
country..... okay I guess it's not the middle of
blues country but it's blues just the same.
These folks offer a very large
selection of products exclusively for harmonica
players. Their website only shows a small portion
of what they offer through the catalog.
