50th Anniversary celebration schedule of events
As a current or former member of the Sleepy Eye Jaycees you a re invited to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Sleepy Eye chapter. The 2 day event will be held on August 17th & 18th, 2007 and will coincide with the City of Sleepy Eye’s annual Corn Daze celebration. The 50th anniversary weekend will kick off with a golf outing on Friday at the Sleepy Eye Golf Club. Saturday’s activities will include a parade with the Sleepy Eye Jaycees featured as Grand Marshall, followed by a banquet and hog roast at the Serviceman’s Club. The golf outing and banquet are open to all current and former Sleepy Eye Jaycees and their guests. The parade floats will be for current & former Sleepy Eye Jaycees only, space will be provided along the parade route for guests.

Friday, August 17th, 2007 Day-night golf tournament at Sleepy Eye Golf Club (27898 Hwy 14 West, 507-794-5249) 2 or 3 Person scramble (depends on # of entrants) Registration @ 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 Start 9 Holes in daylight - break 10 Holes @ night with glow-in-the-dark golf balls (two 5 hole rounds on shortened course) $40/per person includes green fees & cart
Saturday, August 18th, 2007 Grand Marshall in Parade - There is room for ALL Current & former Jaycees on two parade units! Meet @ Miller-Sellner Implement parking lot at 5:00 P.M. (22024 State Hwy. 4; Sleepy Eye) Parade starts at 6:00
Banquet & hog roast at the Serviceman's Club (109 1st Ave South) immediately following parade. (109 1st Ave South) Social hour starts at 6:30 p.m. and the cost is $10.00/person person including meal. |
