SS (Snake Skinner)

The Camaro ss is a great car built by General motors and modified and by SLP Engineering.  When you order a SS you first start with a Z28 and whatever options you want.  Then you order option #R7T, which is the SS option.  At this time you can also order the SLP options that you prefer to have.  General motors builds the Z28 at there plant in St. Therese Quebec, then ships it to SLP's plant which is right across the river.  When the get it then then SLP modifys it to the SS version.  Then it goes back to General Motors where in turn it goes to a local dealer.
