| My One, My Only, My Shining Light, You Fill Me With Golden Delight Your Love Provides Me With Such Warmth, I Can't Explain All My Love For You, I Can No Longer Contain This Love You Have Given Me, This Feelin Inside It Keeps Growing, It Can No Longer Hide It Wants To Escape, To Burst Out It Wants To Sing, Scream And Shout I Want To Declare My Love To You, Prove To You How Much I Care Show You No Matter What Happens,I'll ALWAYS Be There! Through The Dark And Stormy Night, I'll Be There To Hold You Tight Through The Thunder, Lightning And The Rain, I'll Be There, To Sooth Your Pain I'll Hold You Close In My Arms, Make You Laugh, With My Silly Charm You Understand Me, You Get Me But Most of All, You Love Me You Love Me For Me, And I Love You, For Loving Me We're Only At The Beginning, There's So Much More To Come Years of Love, Laughter, And Fun You Are My Truest Love, of Which I Am Sure We Will Remain Together, Forever More............... | Take the Car. Take the car, take the car. Don't risk the bus, take the car. Don't let the train take the strain. Go by car, dont trust the train. I thought I,d heard it all before. It has become our folklore. How very bad can it really be? Shall I tell you? Please let me. Let the air suffer the pain. Listen to me and you will gain. I let my heart take the strain! I thought at first what a fuss! I'll be green and take the bus. I'll let the train take the strain. I'm bright, how hard can it be? Only 4 changes, let me see. But of course I should have known, Outside the station a crowd had grown. Let me quess, no trains are running. They take your money, very cunning. The points have failed down the line Nobody to blame, one more time. Plane to catch,I will be late Is this to be again my fate? I see a friend in the queue. She said to me "Can I help you? I,ve got my car. It,s over there. Do you want a lift ?Do we dare? to take the car and leave the queue? I think I risk it. How about you?" Take the car, take the car. Don,t risk the bus, take the car Don,t let the train take the strain. Take the car, don,t trust the train. "Run !" She said, and off we went. Jumped inside .She was heaven sent. Down the road, were Cardiff bound. Failed points we can go round. We,ll catch the train further down, Join the train in another town. So then, what do you think? Did I make the easy link? Well, may I point out to you the title of this poem anew. Take the car,I said it before Once again I drew a short straw. On our arrival out I leapt Up the stairs I quickly stepped Where,s my train? Two minutes late! I saw it leave .Again my fate. It mattered not,I,ve time in hand. Another train was bound to land. Although of course the sign did say It would be minutes late that day. I waited on the right platform. Till the tannoy in voice forlorn Told us all to move across. From then we were all at a loss. At our new departure point new friendships we did anoint. No one now was a stranger, Anxiety bound us all together. As from the train indicator Our train no longer was coming later! So we waited and we waited. Till at last we were placated. Small it was but still a train Our waiting had not been in vain Not only small but also slow It stopped at places we didn,t know! And in between it crawled along We feared again we had done wrong. to let the train take the stain, Instead of driving through the rain. But at last I did arrive And found a bus.Lord Alive!! It took me out to my plane But not again will I take the train! Rob Lorimer |
