From Stephanie: He married Henrietta ("Hettie") Dorcas Cole "of Neville Island" (an island in the Allegheny River between old Allegheny City and Pittsburgh) and they had 4 children - a daughter and 3 sons, one of whom died in Pittsburgh at age 2 in 1865. He took his family west on the Oregon Trail about 1880, then moved from OR to Los Angeles about 1882 where he and his wife died and are buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. His daughter evidently married in Oregon and had all 3 of her children there, then moved in with her parents in LA about 1891 after her husband died in OR. All records of his descendants that I have
found spell the name "Straight" as do their death certificates. One son was a photographer and traveled the West; I don't know anything else about him or his brother or any descendants they may have had
