Special Strengths: Timothy is an expert on myths, legends, items of power, etc. and has a near perfect memory. He can recall things almost instantly via his special book called the Book of Memory (see bkg). Tim also is an expert on dungeons having built a few in his travels.

Special Weaknesses: Tim can be easily distracted in his pursuit of "collectables". Most of the time, these aren't worth anything to anybody else but him. This is especially troublesome when it's combat time.

Quirks: Tim is an unrepentant die hard beanie babie collector and a major packrat. Odds are, he may have something useful, but you'll have to trade him something to get it (unless he knows you well). Of course, getting to that item is another matter. Quite often, Tim acts like the quintessential tourist, asking lots about various things which have no real bearing to the task that hand. From time to time, Timothy also wears a mask that like a hockey mask, except that the only holes are in his eyes. There is no real good reason for this.

Goals: Tim's major goal is to become the creator of a series of tourist books called "The Wanderer's Guide to..." He also works for the Library of Talerod, a huge center of knowledge located in Cerem City. He works there, helping various scholars solve their problems. He'd rather not reveal that fact though.

Signature Phrase: "Hello. What's this?"

Weapon of Perference: Tim has two main weapons. A Sword for close quater combat and knives that he throws when spells attract too much attention.

Physical Appearance:

Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 180-185 pounds.
Hair: Reddish Brown, kept short
Eyes: Green
Distinguishing Features: None, really. Tim wears gray robes with two blue "V"s (one inside the other) near the neck and on each arm. He also wears a gray cloak (which is black on the side closest to his body). He also have an emerald ring (which just looks pretty).

Personality:

Timothy is a pleasant, but curious fellow. He is eager to gain knowledge and generally seeks to protect it (although he does understand the need to destroy such knowledge like demon summoning). His desire for knowledge makes him impulsive as well, at times.

Background:

Tim was born and raised in Cerem City where his inate curiosity and constantly questioning drove many of his instructors to drink. That, plus his ever present desire to gain various knick knacks through exploring the caves near his home and in trade, made him the perfect "Collector". At age seven, his parents sent him to the Library in order to learn the skills necessary. These not only included his magic, and fighting skils, but some thieving skills as well. Tim was taught to respect knowledge. For even the Staff of The Gods is useless if you don't have the knowledge to use it.

When he came of age, he was given a Book of Memory. A Book of Memory is a magical item that records the thoughts of it's owner when activated. Tim keeps his on full time, but then goes back to edit it. It also traces the paths of where the owner travelled to, making it an excellent mapper. It groups the topics into sections for later use by scholars. Should it come across another Book of Memory, it copies down that infomation as well. Think of it as a magical laptop computer and you get the general idea. This is Tim's most valuable possesion. There is one other feature I failed to mention. Each book has one owner and one owner only. Should that owner die or the book be away from the owner, it stops filling up pages, leaving only the knowledge previously gained.

From time to time, Tim had also tried to maintain some personal collections, but only that of the beanie babies stuck with him. He loves the idea of the little portable stuffed dolls. He has in the past, even traded some magical items for some of the rarer ones in his collection. Trying to mess with his collection is like trying to steal from Lina Inverse. Bad Plan. While he doesn't know the Dragon Slave, there are still some tortous ways to kill using Shamanist Magic.

Additional Infomation: Right now, Timothy Grey is on an assignment for the Library. His latest mission: Find out what he can about Lina Inverse. There is nothing sinsiter about this. Scholars at the Library have heard lots about her, but noted that there really isn't any unbiased information on her. Is she a legendar hero? or a legendary horror? That's what Tim has to find out.
