Physical Appearance: Bright Red hair a little longer on the right side, falling to below his ears. He has a scar across his left cheek from his first encounter with a Mazoku. His frame is rather lean and cut (think Fei from Xenogears). He wears black-steel boots, arm, and shoulder plates. All of which have rubies embedded in places on them. He wears black and red clothes underneath this and has his weapon strapped across his back. He also has two double-bladed, guardless shortswords slung from belts on each side of his waist and throwing stilettos lined inside of a huge black cloak he wears occasionally.

Personality: Ren enjoys a good conversation and likes to play the joker, Though he can get a bit claustrophobic and often avoids crowded rooms and public places. Ren often takes charge during a battle and insists that everyone else run while he keeps the enemy at bay. He has a short temper and a low tolerance for stupidity. When he gets angry he begins to transform, but can manage to keep it in check, making it seem to be merely a burst of power. When he encounters a girl he likes, he can forget how to talk. If he sees a Mazoku or one of their lackies, he get extremely angry and goes berserking off on them.

Background: Ren, being a Dimos Dragon, was born with abnormal strength. From the beginning he dreamed of being in battle, taking down enemy after enemy without a scratch. He soon lost that dream when the Mazoku found his village in the Kataart Mountains. His family was killed and he was left with a reminder of the encounter in the way of a deep cut across his cheek. Escaping from his village, he wandered aimlessly across the land. He kept himself in human form in order to blend in with locals and not be caught by the Mazoku's henchmen.

Eventually he was found, and was nearly killed when an old warrior came to his rescue. This man slew several of Ren's attackers and let the rest escape. He took Ren into his home and trained him in the way of the blade. Ren proved to be adept in swordfighting and soon grew to be better than his master, besting him time and again. Ren had planned to live out his life there and was just settling down and looking for a wife when the Mazoku's warriors came again. They killed his mentor who had been weakened with age and made another attempt on Ren's life.

Enraged at the death of his master he transformed and crushed his adversaries. Deciding to take the fight to the enemy, Ren left his new home behind and started to travel again. During his travels he began to get strange voices in his head. One of them identified themself as the Fire Dragon Lord. The Lord told Ren that he wanted him to find the soul of the Flare Dragon and use it to destroy the Mazoku. Ren gladly accepted the quest and began searching for this soul, even though he had no idea what (or who for that matter ^_^) it resided in.
