BlightName: Blight Age: At least 8 millenia. Gender: None, but referred to as if male. Birthday and Astrological Sign: Unknown. Affiliation: Independent. Stats: Likes: Sharp weaponry, armor, spells, magic, magic items, battle, intelligent beings, intelligent conversations, honor. Weapon of choice: A short sword that can create an aura of blue flame around its blade. Dreams/Goals: Currently, his goals are to regain the power stolen from him and punish the one that stole it, however long that may take. Physical Appearance:
General Appearance: red-skinned, his teeth and nails are very sharp, he lacks eyebrows but has brow-ridges over his eyes (think Namek from DBZ), ears are long with several points along them, his form is very muscular. He usually wears his armor which consists of a black helmet that has open spots for his ears, two black shoulder guards, a black heavy breast plate, a smaller red plate to guard the abdomen and stomach, three black pieces of armor to guard his waist and legs, brown leather clothing underneath it, and a pair of boots. Distinguishing Features: What? The appearance wasn't distinguishing enough? Personality: Blight is an oddity (like I need to say that...). He can be cold and unfeeling one moment, then a kind and wise figure the next. He cares little for those that do not do things for themselves, for those that have no honor, and for those who he has not yet seen a reason to trust. He will show them his coldness and will often make hostile gestures towards them. However, someone with strength that does things for themselves, or if they display honor (especially if they display honor), will get respect from him very easily. In battle, he very often shows little mercy for his opponents and is often sadistic, though through it all he keeps honor in his fights and never will attack an opponent before they are aware of him. He takes battle very seriously and constantly keeps his mind and body trained for battle, which can easily add to his cold attitude. Because of Blight's current plight (pun intended), his honor and pride (and ego) can easily be wounded and he is often on edge. Background: [Note: this is the "compressed" version of his history. If I wrote it out with more detail, it might be just a bit too much.] Blight, a red of the demo-gremlin race, was born in the planes of darkness during the demo-gremlin's age of honor. He was trained, like all others of his kind, heavily in close combat. He became the apprentice of a skilled trainer who often took his apprentices to train on worlds of the Prime Material plane. During their time there, the group of warriors he was with were surprised by a mage's attack. The group had only one magic-user with them, a gray demo-gremlin, which was killed in the middle of a spell chant. Miraculously, Blight was somehow able to mimic the gray's chant and cast a spell to kill the mage. A red had never before had any talent in magic. Blight was able to be the first red to train in magic (after many disputes to try to stop it). Blight was able to become a Bloodhunter, the highest title for his kind. He became one of the six greatest warriors of his age. Four of the others were reds, the last was a light-brown skinned demo-gremlin named Soulslayer. The six of them became great friends and allies. Unfortunately, the age of honor was near its end. Two great warrior/sorcerers that were twins began to dispute with each other, each of them wanting to become the next ruler of the entire demo-gremlin race. Things began happening that would suggest that the dispute had become less than honorable. The grays were eventually banished to another dimension for an atrocity that they didn't even commit. The Hero known as Soulslayer was also killed; Blight was with him when he died and is the only one who knows the identity of the killer. Finally the twins fought against each other in the throne room of their race's leader, after the recent leader had been mysteriously assinated. One of the twins was destroyed, and the other became an undead being and left to make his own kingdom. The demo-gremlin race soon began a civil war, and the five remaining great Bloodhunters left the planes of darkness, not wanting to stay with their race after everything that had happened. Blight and his other four friends traveled the world's Prime Material plane. They were demons with honor with no reason for existence. On one world they fought a war against a major demon just because he was a greater challenge than fighting the scattered armies of his adversaries. Eventually, the five split and went their separate ways. Blight created an empire that spanned many worlds. His power grew greater and greater. He became as powerful as some of his world's gods. At the height of his power he created a dagger using blood from ten gods and goddesses of destruction. It was the greatest weapon he ever created, but however he could not complete it. Before the final enchantment could be placed upon it, he was attacked by many great beings and was sealed in a dimensional rift. He lost his empire and most of his power. Eventually a man accidentally released Blight from his prison. The man did not interest Blight, so he gave him only a word of thanks, then left to see what had happened during his imprisonment. Presently: Blight began to wander around the world, wondering what to do next. However, he was eventually attacked by a great force. Blight cannot remember who or what attacked him, but he wishes to search for it and destroy it. Not only was one of his two short swords, his dagger, and almost all of his other equipment stolen, but the attacker took most of his remaining power, parts of his memory, and part of himself. Additional Information: Since Blight has the ability to regenerate, that makes him hard to kill. Really, it's best to either decapitate him, destroy his heart, or somehow make him bleed to death. Internal bleeding would regenerate too quickly for it to kill him and it would still take a while for bleeding to kill him. An arrow in an eye would stun him for a moment, then he'd get up and be rather peeved. Loss of a limb would take about a day to re-grow but wouldn't be as strong as normal until another day had passed. Very extreme damage could cause him to go into a state of suspended animation until most of the damage was repaired.
