Aaryess

Race: Elf
Gender: Female

Stats:

Magic-Black: 10
OTHER-Illusions: 5

Affiliation: Hero (recovering from being a mercenary)

Special Advantages: Her illusions are very realistic and confusing. They have some pretty obvious limits, though; they are mainly female, blowing her cover. She can't make large creatures, but she can control her illusions nicely. They can respond to every comment or question, except about their creation. They can only attack physically; they may look like they cast spells, but these illusionary spells do no damage. She can make three illusions of herself.

Special Disadvantages: She isn't the most charismatic when it comes to males, to put it lightly. She is an extreme feminist, and strictly believes that females should be in charge.

Quirks: She becomes insane when people comment on her untrimmed bangs or unbrushed hair, or when they fail to recognize the fact that she's an elf. Luckily, she can sometimes control her temper.

Age: 235
Astrological Sign: Virgo

Height: 4'
Weight: 75 lbs
Hair Color: Light royal blue
Eye Color: Navy blue

Appearance: Two locks of blue hair hang over her shoulders, and her untrimmed bangs hang above her frisky sharp eyes. She grins sneakily, the hood of her cloak hiding most of her face. Her short stature and lack of cleavage make her look like a kid.

Mode of Dress: A forest green cloak falls down to her ankles. Her blouse clings loosely to a black shirt underneath it. Her gloves have no fingers, showing off her pale fingernails. Her boots have a slight heel to them, and the top is folded over.

Distinguishing Features: Blue hair, really pointy ears, large mouth, child-like figure.

Personality: She is sweet, with a dry wit. Aaryess is always concerned for a friend's well-being (unless they're male, of course). Her role model is her mother, a half-wit psycho feminist with enough charges against males to make the sanest person burst. In a way, Aaryess has a double personality. Her recent activities show plenty of kindness, mainly because right now she's concerned with building up her reputation as a hero. Leaving her mother made her more 'generous'. A strange trait is her extreme respect for anyone shorter than her, but there aren't many people like that. She uses illusions of herself to make agreements (so she can break them 'fairly'). Even though she's trying to show a kinder face to the world, she might still ask a waiter for a waitress to serve her instead.

Likes: Ravioli, her successes, artifacts, magic, chess, a nice long tome to read, scrolls.

Dislikes: Males, rivals/opponents/adversaries, anyone who dislikes her, yams.

Goals: Not many; ridding the world of those who oppose her, and gaining powerful artifacts in the process.

Background: She was born in a small elven village called Sallaika, just east of Zefilia (Lina's birthplace). Aaryess was middle-class; her father was a mage, and so was her mother. As a child, her mother gave her many lessons on things she would need in life. Those included lessons about male inferiority. Aaryess left home with extensive knowledge of magic. She hired herself out as an assassin/mercenary for several female landlords. Everyone kept assuming she was a kid, which soon became unbearable for Aaryess. Her mother's lessons bent her in many ways when dealing with males, and with people treating her like a little kid, this gave her a sharp side. Her sweet side came with age, as she discovered a few males out there that she actually respected. As a frugal spender, she's accumulated a lot of gold. She has attended many chess competitions, and she always wins. Her illusions are useful for creating fake pieces, which leave her opponents very confused.
