Sylphiel Nels Lahda Age: She is probably a little older than Lina, around the age of 16-18. Family: Her only known family is her father, Elc, who was a priest in Sairaag, and her uncle, who she lived with after Sairaag was destroyed by Copy Rezo. Elc was killed when Copy Rezo destroyed most of the city, and then later resurrected by Hellmaster Fibrizo, only to be killed again when Phibrizzo died. Reputation: Sylphiel is a miko (priestess) of the shrine in Sairaag. When she was young, she took the Bless Blade from her shrine and hid it under the holy tree, Flagoon. This later proved to be useful, as the sword was needed to defeat Copy Rezo/Zanaffar. After each destruction of Sairaag, Sylphiel was involved in the effots to rebuild it. Her life revolves around helping other people. Skills: Sylphiel is an extremely gifted cleric of white magic. She's more powerful in the art than other white magic-using characters such as Ameria and Naga, but unfortunately, her other magic skills are lacking. She cannot master the fundamentals of casting shamanistic or black magic spells. The only exception, however, is her ability to cast a perfect Dragu Slave. She studied very hard to learn this spell so that she could impress Gourry by being like Lina in at least one aspect. Friends:
Sylphiel and Lina's friendship is a bit tense. Both girls
are attracted to Gourry, and Sylphiel has no intentions
of hiding her feelings. However, Lina is semi-patient and
sympathetic to Sylphiel, and she does not rub it in that
Gourry is interested in only her. At the end of NEXT,
Sylphiel seemed to realize that she would not be able to
be with Gourry as long as Lina is around, and she quietly
accepted that fact. |
