Rezo and Copy Rezo

Age: Rezo was very old, probably in the hundreds. Copy Rezo was made sooner, but it's not known when exactly.

Family: Rezo is the great-grandfather of Zelgadiss Graywords. Presumably, Rezo killed Zel's parents and made it look like an accident. He was the one who gave Zel his chimeric body of brau demon, golem, and human.

Reputation: Before becoming corrupted by the fragment of Ruby Eye Shabranigdo in his soul, Rezo (formally known as Red Priest Rezo) was known as one of the great sages of the land. Despite being blind from birth, Rezo had immense healing power, and used it to help all sorts of sick people. Tragically, he could cure the blindness of others, but never his own. This made Rezo go on a rampage to find a cure for himself, ultimately turning to the dark power of Shabranigdo, which he did not know was inside him. Rezo went after the Philosopher's Stone (which Lina possessed at the time) because he believed it would be a trigger to unleash the ma-ou's power. Shabranigdo was awakened, and had to be defeated by Lina, along with the last vestiges of Rezo's soul on her side.
Copy Rezo was the clone of Rezo. He became so obsessed with surpassing the power of the original that he lost sight of sanity and any attainable goals. Because he did not have any of Shabranigdo sealed within him, Copy Rezo had the gift of sight that Rezo wanted so much. He used Rezo's legacy, a copy of the Claire Bible, to create an armor Zanaffar, which gave him enormous miasmic power. Eventually he perished at the hands of Lina, her friends, and the holy tree Flagoon.

Skills: Extreme magical ability, probably even more than Lina. Copy Rezo destroyed most of Sairaag with one Mega Brand. Rezo possessed a Claire Bible manuscript, giving him a weath of knowledge, including the recipie for making an ultra-powerful Zanaffar.

Friends: Rezo's most important companion was Eris. Eris fell in love with Rezo and decided to follow him wherever he went in order to find a cure for his blindness. After his death, she blamed Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadiss, and sent Zangulus and Vrumugun out to find them. When they reached Sairaag, she unleashed Copy Rezo, who ultimately turned against and killed her because he did not need her to control him anymore.
