“Happy anniversary you guys.” Buffy hugged Cordelia back and Angel stood behind her and beamed. The three sat down and Buffy and Angel were bombarded in gifts. Gunn and Fred had given them a beautiful photo frame containing a picture of them with Connor on their wedding years. Buffy leaned back against Angel.
“I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since we got married.”
“I can’t believe we ever got married in the first place. Buffy that really was the happiest day of my life.” She kissed him on the lips but they parted when their daughter, Katherine started making gagging sounds. Cordy and Groo had given them some kind of weapon, well actually Groo had, Cordelia had given Buffy some sexy lingerie earlier and both had decided it would be a nice surprise. Connor had given then a slip of paper containing some writing, which he asked them to read later. Katherine and Logan had given them a huge teddy that said ‘Happy Anniversary’ on the heart it was carrying.

The party was over and it was late. Buffy and Angel were sat in bed.
“I’m glad they brought me back.”
“Really?”
“Yeah cos even then it wasn’t this good. It was a long time coming and the world was different and people who we loved weren’t there. This way is better.”
“So you’re ready to forgive them?”
“Well I kinda had something else in mind for what we could do tonight but I suppose we could pack instead.” She grinned seductively at him and he kissed her. He had the world’s best wife and he still loved her as much as he did back then, if anything more. That’s why he had known it was the perfect gift for her. A locket with their pictures in. inscribed in the back it said ‘To B love always A.’ on the front it said ‘I love you more today than yesterday but less than tomorrow.’ She had gotten him a broadsword, engraved on the hilt were the words ‘To A Love B’ in the actual sword itself it said ‘Forever that’s the whole point.’ He smiled inwardly thinking about it. He couldn’t really smile outwardly about it since Buffy was using his lips from something much more pleasurable. She really was perfect. She had given him everything, love, a purpose, a family and she had returned his son to him. She was the best, without a doubt and he loved her more than words would ever be able to say.
