Angel
Angel was born in Ireland. His name was originally Liam. He was a drunk and he wasted his life until Darla came along and fed off him and made him a vampire. Liam became Angelus because he was the vampire with the angelic face. Angelus sired many vampires and two of which have been featured in the show. William the Bloody, Spike and Drusilla. He drove her crazy before he killed and sired her. He and Daral and Spike and Drusilla travelled round Europe causing all kinds of havoc until Angelus fed on a preety young gypsy girl who was a favourite amoung her clan. Her people cursed him with a soul and then he moved to America. He lived by eating rats and living in the sewers for a hundred years. He then met a demon who showed him the Slayer and explained what his life could be. So Angelus cleaned himself up and started to visit the butchers for pig's blood. He renamed himself Angel. He bgan to help the slayer in secret. When she moved to Sunnydale he followed but he then started to make himself known to her. He never told her that he was a vampire but they fell in love and eventually she found out. He explained what had happened to her and they began a relationship. In one moment of pure happiness with her he lost his soul. He went on a killing spree and tortured her before killing Jenny Calender and eventually Willow cursing him again. They tried their relationship again but they couldn't be together and Angel realised that so after dealing with the mayor he moved to LA. In LA Angel set up his own business, Angel Investigations along with a half demon called Doyle who got sent visions from the Powers That Be. Angel's main problem in LA has been a law firm, Wolfram and Hart. they resurrected Darla and after a night of passion with her, he found himself to be a father. This is where there is an introduction of an old vampire hunter named Holtz. Holtz steals Angel's son and takes him to a demon dimension, when Connor returns he is out for his father's blood. After a fight there is a reunion of sorts and Connor accepts Angel. Holtz is then found dead and Connor goes after Angel. He traps Angel is a metal box and plunges it into the ocean. Will Angel remain forever in his steel prison in the sea? I doubt it, watch this space.
Doyle
Doyle is a half demon who is sent to Angel to help him and guide him on his path to redemption. The drunken little Irish demon has visions of people in danger sent to him so Angel can help them. He falls for Cordy but before they can have their chance he sacrifices his life to save that of Angel, Cordy and a cargo ship full of innocent half demons.
Cordelia Chase
Cordelia has never liked Xander or Willow but since all the strange supernatural attacks on her she has played a more active role in their lives and the show. Since her relationship with Xander started up she began hanging around with Xander and the gang and spending more time in the library than she ever had in her whole life. After she dumped Xander cos he cheated on her she developed a crush on the prim and proper new watcher Wesley. She finally kissed him and realised he was a girly man and there was nothing there but not before she realised she still felt something for Xander. She should have gone to the prom with him but by the time she realised how she felt he had agreed to go with Anya. After graduation she moved to LA to become an actress but she ended up meeting up with Angel and began to work for him. Cordelia has really developed as a person since moving to LA. The visions from the Powers, passed to her by Doyle have been a part of that. Cordelia, being human, was not ment to have the visions and had a choice, she could be the famous actress she'd dreamt of being if she was willing to give up her visions and Angel. She chose not to and became half demon so she was able to handle the visions. her power have never really been clear but at the end of Season 3 she was told she was too good for that 'level' now and moved onto a higher level. We are still waiting to see what exactly this higher level will be and if she will still factor in the show.
Wesley Windham-Price
Wesley became Buffy's watcher after Giles was fired. He always wore a black suit with his hair geled back. He was a very prim and proper Englishman. He began to develop a crush on Cordelia but when they kissed it stopped as neither of them felt an attraction or a spark from the kiss. Wesley showed up after Doyle's death and became a part of the team. During Angel's rough patch with darla when he fired the team Wesley has become the leader. He is more relaxed and less prim and proper, the idea of a typical Brit. Unfortunately he discovered a prophecy about Angel eating his son and so decided to take him away, that is when Holtz got Connor. Angel hasn't forgiven Wesley, who is now an outsider and no longer works at Angel Investigations.
Gunn
Gunn is a street kid from a group that hunted vampires. His sister was killed and turned and he was the one to stake her, although not much was said on the show about it my personal opinion is that he is still coming to terms with it. His character is very like Angel, although he is not brooding he is intense, although he jokes around a lot. His mood is a lot brighter since he fell for Fred. The two seem like an unusual couple but work well together. Gunn was first introduced as someone who helped Angel out on ocassion but soon became a reoccuring character and became an employee of Angel Investigations.
Fred
Fred was sucked into a demon dimension 5 years ago, Angel adn the gang rescued her and she has now become a valuable member of the team, more so since Wesley's betrayal. She is extremely smart and is able to make calculations in accordance with prophecies. She is still quite shy, a result of her upbrining and the 5 years in the demon dimension, since being with Gunn however she has become more outgoing.
Lorne Lorne is a green demon from Pylea. He can read your aura while you sing and has been very useful in a few of Angel's cases. Although at the end of season 3 he left it is unclear whether or not he will reappaear. Personally I hope he does as I like his character.
