DragonBall Z tells the adventures of Son Goku and his friends, but the humour that we could find in DragonBall dissappears now. There is much more actions, there are lots and lots of energy attacks, and a fight is not a fight without them. In DBZ a mythical alien race appears called Saiyajin's. Here we discover that Goku is a member of this race( he didn't know it and now we can understand why he has a tail and why he transforms into a big monkey during the full moons).
In DBZ, the family grows because some of the characters have childern, like Goku, who has two sons with ChiChi(SonGohan and SonGoten) and Vegeta has a son with Bulma, name Trunks. As the series goes on, Goku keeps winning over more and more enimies, which are more and more strong, and he himself gets more and more strength. An example: At the end of DragonBall, Goku is the strongest human/person on earth. Well in DBZ some extraterrestrial characters come into action, at first the Saiyajin Vegeta and Nappa, after that, the strongest being in the universe, Freeza. When Goku wins Freeza(and then Goku is the most powerful in the universe) two androids created with the purpose of killing him come, and then a bioandroid even stronger, Cell, comes into action. Then,when Cell finally dies, Buu, a creation of an evil wizard, arrives. By this time there is no plot left and it consists only in a prepetition of the same. But DBZ has the quality of keeping us hooked on it by it's actions and fanatasy.
Maybe one of the things which draw more attention is the appearance of the supersaiyanjin. The supersaiyajin are the saiyajin which have achieved such a state, during which their strength increases incredibly, their hair turns into blonde and sharpens and their eyes turn green or blue.. I can't remember.During the series Goku and the other saiyajin after him achieve level 1, then level 2 (during which the hair gets even longer and sharper)and level 3(which only Goku achieves and during it the hair gets even longer).
During the last part of DragonBallZ the fusions enter into action. The fusions, as the names indicates clearly, consits on a fusion between two saiyajin of an equivalent power level. This was made in answer to Buu,a monster so strong that noBody could beat him.The soution was to jion two characters into one and then their force would doubel. The first ones who used this technique were Trunks(Bulma and Vegeta's son) and Goten(Goku and Chichi's son). These two form Gotenks. After that, Goku and Vegeta fusion, creating a character whose name is Vegito or Gogeta.
To finish this about page. I would like to recommend Dragonball Z to anyone out there who likes Dragonball. I have seen only a little bit of Dragonball but I have seen half of DragonBall(cause our tv station is Cartoon Network) and love it. Please check your local listings and try and watch it.
