Chapter 6: The Messenger A sharp pain lanced through Kais head as she entered the bridge, and she doubled over in pain. Her hands were on her head in an instant and she sent healing energies from one hand to the other, calming the ache inside of her. As she got up, words flashed through her head.
The dark one stirs
His prison broken,
To break the worlds
And kill the Rhokan.
Another shall come
Who stands in his way.
But who shall lose
And who shall stay?
There is one more,
Of much importance,
Who saves the light
and darkness too.
And thats the one
of most importance,
For she shall win
and we will lose.
Suddenly the words left and she fell down to floor unconscious, leaving her crew to take care of her.
She woke up in the sick bay of her ship. Three soldiers who had received a crash course in how to be a medic showed up and began to check to see if she was okay.
Im fine, just a little sore. You can go about your business soldiers.
Maam! The three soldiers snapped salutes quickly, and snapped immediately back to attention. They walked out of the room with precision that was achieved only by the highest-ranking officers from HQ. Less than a second later, a very well dressed man stepped into the room and sat down opposite the bed that Kai was in.
Kai spoke first, her voice sure and firm. Who are you?
I am one of the Great Five. You should not need to worry with my name.
Kai gasped. The Great Five was the ruling organization of the Magi, and never left the home world. To have one of them visit her was a great honor, or would have been if she had not fled her home. To have one of the Great Five approach you meant that you were of vital importance, and no one refused anything they asked. Each of the Five was associated with an element, and the element that was suitable for the task they were doing was the one that did the work. The elements were distinguishable by the color clothes they wear. This man, the fire element, wore crimson everything.
This time, Kais voice shook when she spoke. What has one of the Five to do with me?
Simple. We have information that you might like. He paused. If you would like to keep your job that is.
What do you mean?
Right now your job with the SynthCorps is on the line. If you dont do something about the rebels, you will lose your job.
Lose my job! But then what would I do!
I can help you with your job if you would like me to.
Yes. Please.
I will help you and let you rejoin your own kind if you do one thing for me.
Kais eyes narrowed. And that thing is?
We have recently seen a copy of the Book of Prophecies disturbed in the Tower. We have reason to believe that The Flaw is active in this world once again. But the one prophecy that was missing from the book was the one prophesizing the fight against The Flaw.
You mean the prophecy that starts, The dark one stirs, His prison broken, to break the worlds and kill the Rhokan?
That is the one that is missing. He paused again and thought for a couple of minutes. How did you know?
The Dark God Sel has created a direct link to my consciousness. I tried to fight him but it does no good.
There is no need to fight against him. In the coming fight, he will be fight alongside of Tranroch and all the other gods. But if he has sent that prophecy to you then you are his chosen one and I must bow before you in the final fight. I will explain everything in more detail later. Right now I must brief you on what you must do.
Wait just a second. Im the Dark Gods chosen one?!
That is correct. We believe that you are spoken of in the prophecy. You see, there is mention in another prophecy of the Dark Gods chosen defeating the Flaw and saving light and dark both. But you must not ever get rid of the Dark Gods mark on you.
To be eternally bonded to the Dark God Doesnt sound like something anyone would choose to do.
There is one person who chose to bond himself to the Dark God. His name is Marc.
Marc?
Your chief opponent in the struggle for the planet. If he is not stopped, Sel will give him the planet and inadvertently trigger the release of the Flaw.
That sounds terrible, but who is the Dark One spoken of in the prophecy?
Ah yes. The Dark One is one of the most powerful beings to ever have existed. His name is Roshmayl, and he is over 30,000 years old. I would guess that you are familiar with the Sword Keeper War?
Kai frowned. The Sword Keeper War?
Yes. Long ago, about 31,700 years ago, A war broke out in which the Flaw was used to attempt to destroy the universe. Roshmayl was the wielder of the sword Hinsor. In the sword Hinsor there was a piece of the Flaw. Roshmayl knew this and used it to its full potential. All you need concern yourself with at this moment is the fact that Roshmayl was imprisoned in the ET278 sector of the Universal wall.
The universal wall?
The man sighed deeply. There is no need to go into any more detail about that here and now. My patience runs thin. All you need to know is that we need that sword. You went about asking information, so I guess I wont need to inform you of the consequences of using it.
You want me to get the sword. It was not a question.
That is correct. We shall need the sword in the final attack against the prison of the Dark One. Until then, keep in contact with the Dark God. The man walked out of the room, leaving Kai to ponder over what she had just been told.
