| G. Kerkstra's Horticulture Club was formed in the fall of 2001 with a group of students who were interested in working in the garden and learnng about plants. So far we've enjoyed many afternoons outside and inside with our flowers and nature projects. Come visit our greenhouse and indoor pond if you get a chance... who knows, you might go home with a new plant of your own to take care of! Here are some pictures taken of our club members while they were sharing some of their beautiful summer flowers with their friends and parents during the January 31st Curriculum Fair. |
| Roses are edible... really! Here's a picture of our rose cookie assembly line. They're taking our dried, sugared rose petals and putting them onto cookies in a beautiful butterfly design. I wish you could try one. The rose petals taste like frosted flakes! |
