 On March 14, 2002 I went to Addictions Tattoo & Body Piercing located at 8071 Bolsa Ave #D, Midway City (714)891-7331(Orange County, Ca 92655) . The owner Eddie did the tattoo in about 2 1/2hrs and about 30 mins worth of freehand drawing just prior to the outlining. I must say that Eddie's work is among the best that I have seen and he has a real eye for fine line tattoos and shading. This does not in anyway suggest that he cannot do color tats. His color tats are again among the best I have seen and most of all he is a people person which is beneficial for those first timers out there. His prices are extremely reasonable and you won't leave feeling ripped off. With Addictions you can feel like you have just made a real investment for life!
My original tat was the Kanji writing of my kid's names (Nico and Erika). It was done almost 2yrs ago by another shop. You can tell that there has been some fading in the black due to the sun. HINT: USE SUNSCREEN! You can see how Eddie was able to wrap the Dragon around the original tat and incorporate the Dragon to look like part of the whole scene. Pretty artistic if you ask me. After summer depending on how the new tat looks I may get the kanji writing re-darkened.
Here are shots of the tat a full two weeks later. The redness is gone and the new tat has blended much better with the original one.
On Sept 12, 2003 I went to Outer Limits Tattoo & Piercing located at 2981 Bristol St Ste B4, Costa Mesa (714)241-8287(Orange County, Ca 92626) . I had emailed a tattoo artist named Erika Jurkovic and she promptly replied asking to view my artwork and to discuss a possible appointment. In the realm of tattoos you can run across many artist's that may not wish to do certain types of tattoos, however Erika was extremely receptive and professional in her approach to suggestions regarding my artwork. Needless to say the tattoo came out 100x's better than I imagined and I am thoroughly pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend her to anyone wishing to get a tattoo, whether it be your 1st tattoo or your 10th one....
