Crown College Nov 2004 to Feb 2005 As part of my last new deal course I was at Crown College. Due to funding problems I was unable to study for a higher qualification, though I made use of the time to brush up on my IT skills, I was used as an IT teaching assistant.
Shoebury information shop March 2001 to July 2001 As part of my programming certificate course I was required to do work experience as an IT tutor in an IT for all provider. Helping to teach members of the general public the use of IT. As well as producing teaching handouts.
Other Employment and Skills In addition to the above two positions I have been employed in a jewellery warehouse. In a warehouse capacity. I worked as a trainee salesman for a fabric retailer, as well as some tele sales experience. I worked for two years in quality control at Amstrad, including administration and running a department in a supervisory capacity. As well as my qualifications both from school and training courses, I have the following skills that may be relevant. Experience with using Windows 95, NT and 98, as well as all MS office applications (97 and 2000), Pascal, Visual Basic C++, Java and HTML. I have not only used these at home, but also within a work place environment. I have had a large amount of office and administration experience, both from my computer courses and my time with Amstrad. While with Amstrad I have had to engage in interdepartmental liaison, and liase with head office. On my NVQ 2 course my optional element was electronic communications. I have had extensive experience of training staff, as well as members of the public. This has involved explaining to staff test procedures, as well as training staff in the use of computer systems. I have also instructed staff in health and safety procedures. I have had to Organise test lines, and work details, and supervise the same.
INTERESTS Reading about history, Wargaming, Computing, Gothic Horror. I am a member of Rochford Councils public consultation committee.
