Celeborn watched proudly as his Marchwarden, his lover, his Haldir, put the newest recruits of the guardians through their paces.  He smiled as the youngest guardians watched in awe as Haldir and Rumil demonstrated hand-to-hand tactics.  Celeborn felt his shaft harden, knowing how it felt to have Haldir manhandle him.

“He truly is magnificent.”  Galadriel whispered in her husband’s ear.  Celeborn nodded.  “Will you be with him tonight?”

“Aye.  I will meet him after the evening meal.”

“Good, will you give this to him for me?”  Galadriel kissed her husbands cheek.  “Have a wonderful night.”

Celeborn watched his wife walk into the woods, still amazed at her love and understanding.  He may have never approached Haldir about his feelings if not for his wife’s encouragement and meddling.

***

Years earlier…

“You are staring again, Haldir.”  Orophin elbowed his brother and chuckled.

“I am not staring.” Haldir growled.

“You are staring.  Is that drool on your chin?”  Rumil snorted.  Orophin grabbed his youngest brother, and pulled him away from their elder brother who was fuming at their teasing.

“Relax, Haldir.  We are only teasing.  But, I would like to know when you are going to tell Lord Celeborn you care for him.”  Orophin put a comforting arm on Haldir’s shoulder.

“It does not matter what I feel for Lord Celeborn.  He is married…to Lady Galadriel…they are like parents to us.  My feelings are inappropriate and of no consequence.  It could never be.”   Haldir looked to the ground, the last of his words only a whisper.

Rumil now moved close to his brothers.  “Haldir, you are wrong.  Your feelings are not inappropriate.  Our lord and lady did help us after nana and adar were killed, but you were the one to raise Orophin and me.  I do not like you saying your feelings are of no consequence, your feelings are important to us.”

Haldir smiled at Rumil.  His youngest brother had always been the most sensitive and caring of the three.  “Thank you, Rumil.  You have no idea how much I appreciate your words, truly, but I just do not feel I could say anything to Lord Celeborn.  He is married and loves Lady Galadriel very much; I would be crushed by his rejection.”

Lord Celeborn looked at the brothers huddled around Haldir and became concerned.  He had not heard any talk that there were any problems, but something was troubling Haldir.  The Lorien lord walked quickly to the group.

“Good afternoon, is all well?” He looked straight at Haldir.  “Is something amiss, Haldir?  You look troubled.”

“No…no, my lord.  We are fine.”  Haldir smiled, trying to alleviate his lord’s concern.

Celeborn was not sure of Haldir’s response, but he did not push.  “Rumil, Orophin, are you well?”

“We are, my lord.  How are you this beautiful day?”  Orophin asked.

“I am well.  Rumil, I am heading back to my talan.  Are you still meeting with Lady Galadriel this afternoon?”

“Yes, my lord.  I should be heading that way now.”

“Well, come, walk with me,” as they began to walk away, he smiled at Orophin, “Good afternoon, Orophin.  Haldir, if there is anything you need, please let me know.”

Haldir blushed under Lord Celeborn’s gaze.  “Thank you, my lord.”  He stared as they walked away.

“Come, brother, let us find some strong wine and drown your sorrow.”  Orophin guided his lovelorn brother to their talan.

“Rumil, Haldir seemed troubled.  Is he really all right?”

Rumil sighed; he was frustrated with Haldir’s reluctance to tell his feelings.  “My lord, he will kill me for telling, but Haldir has come to care for someone very much and is afraid his feelings will not be returned.”

Celeborn felt his heart clench. Long had he loved Haldir, but always from afar.  His wife had always encouraged him to explore his feelings for their young Marchwarden, but he was afraid.  He feared rejection, embarrassment if Haldir did not feel the same.  Now, it seemed his chance was gone, Haldir had found someone to love.

“I cannot imagine anyone rejecting Haldir.  He is brave, honorable, strong, trustworthy, loving, loyal and…well…beautiful.”  Celeborn blushed, not believing he had just said all that to Rumil.

Rumil grinned as his lord spoke of Haldir.  “Yes, he is all of those things, but the one he loves is all of those things as well.”

“I think anyone who rejects Haldir is a fool.  Who is this idiot?  I will talk to them.”  Celeborn caught what he had just said.  He did not want anyone else with Haldir, but he also did not want to see Haldir hurt.

Rumil had a difficult time maintaining his composure.  “I am sorry, my lord, but Haldir has not given me leave to tell anyone.  I mean no disrespect to you.”  They reached Galadriel’s door.

“Do not worry, Rumil.  I would not want you to betray your brother, but if you think there is anything I can do, please let me know.  I would do almost anything for the three of you.”  Celeborn smiled and knocked on his wife’s door.

“Thank you, my lord.  I will come to you if I feel there is anything you can do.”  Rumil smiled when Galadriel opened the door.  “My lady.”  He inclined his head and entered the room.

‘’Will you join us, my love?”  Galadriel asked.

“No, meleth, I have some things to see too.  Have a good afternoon.”  He smiled as he walked away.

Galadriel turned to see Rumil flopping in a chair.  “They are ridiculous!  I am ready to strangle them both.”

The lady laughed.  “Haldir still will not tell him?”

Rumil shook his head.  “And I all but told Lord Celeborn that Haldir is in love with him, and still he will not admit his feelings for Haldir.”

Galadriel sat on the arm of the chair and stroked Rumil’s hair.  “Come, enough about them.  I would ease your stress, sweet one.”

Rumil took her hand and kissed it.  “You always do.”

***

Celeborn sat in his study, mad at himself.  Why could he not be more like his wife?  She had no difficulty in approaching him regarding her feelings for Rumil, and he encouraged her to go to Rumil.  Long had he and Galadriel been married, and they had a deep love for each other, but they also felt confident enough in their love to be able to share themselves with another.

She and Rumil were so happy together.  Why could he not find the courage to talk to Haldir?  Celeborn shook his head…because you want more than a casual sexual liaison with Haldir, Celeborn thought.  You want something deeper, more meaningful, something to last forever.  Forever, Celeborn thought, but now it seemed Haldir had eyes for someone and he was too late.  Stomping to his wine cabinet, he chose a strong vintage and began to drown his sorrows.

After Rumil left her chamber, very early the next morning, Galadriel checked on her husband.  Seeing that he had not slept in his bed, she knew he was in his study.  She knelt by the couch, a small frown playing on her face as she saw the empty wine bottle.

“Oh, my love, why do you torment yourself?”  She moved the hair away from his face and kissed him softly.  “Celeborn, it is time to wake.  Come, meleth, you need to wake.”  She shook him gently.

“Mmmm…Haldir…” He mumbled.

Galadriel grinned.  “No, he is far more beautiful than I am.”  She giggled.

Celeborn blinked repeatedly, looking up into the sympathetic face of his wife.  “What?  Galadriel, where am I?”

“You slept in your study,” she held up the empty bottle.  “Headache?”

Celeborn held his head.  “Yes.”

“Come on, let me help you to your room, into a bath and I will give you something to help your hangover.”  Once he was bathed and resting in his bed, Galadriel lay next to him and rested her head on his chest, while he stroked her arm.  “Why do you continue to torment yourself, Celeborn?  Tell Haldir how you feel.  Would it not be better to know his feelings rather than continue to assume and be unsure and unhappy?”

“What if he does not feel the same?  We have always been close; what if he is uncomfortable and begins to avoid me?  I do not think I could bear that.”

“You must tell him.  I fear for you if you do not, my love.  You love him and…” she wanted to tell him so badly what she knew, but hesitated.  “Celeborn, please talk to him, trust me, please.”

Celeborn nodded and kissed the top of her head as he drifted to sleep.

The next day, shortly after lunch, Haldir was resting when a knock roused him from his nap.  Opening the door, he was surprised to find one of Lady Galadriel’s assistants there.

“Good day, Marchwarden, a note from my lady.  She asked that I await your response.”

Haldir furrowed his brow, took the note and read. ‘Haldir, please join us for dinner this evening.  My husband and I are looking forward to spending some time with you.
Lady Galadriel.’

Haldir’s heart began to race; the thought of spending time in Lord Celeborn’s company was making it hard to breathe.  Hearing the assistant clear her throat, Haldir answered.

“Please tell my lady that it will be my honor to have dinner with them this evening.”  She smiled and turned to leave.  Haldir stood with the door open for a few moments, watching her walk away.   He began to wonder why he had been invited and how was he going to control himself in front of his hearts desire and his lady?

***

An hour before dinner, Galadriel sought her husband, finding him back in his study, reading.

“Dinner is soon, should you not get ready?”

Celeborn looked at her, confused at her words.  “It is just dinner, my wife.  I am ready.”

“I have invited Haldir to join us,” she chuckled when her husband sprang to his feet.

“You did what?”  He advanced on her.

“I invited Haldir.  I expect him within the hour.  I thought you might like to dress…for him.”

“Why did you do this?”  Celeborn looked at the ground.

“Because, you have avoided your feelings long enough.  It is time you were honest with him and yourself.  You love him and desire him.  Tonight, you must tell him.”  She kissed his cheek and stroked his hair.

“What if I cannot?”  Celeborn looked lovingly into his wife’s eyes.

“Celeborn, we have been together so long and you have such a loving heart.  A heart with a capacity for such great love.  Love that you need to share.  I have been blessed that you have shared that love with me for a long time, and now you need to share that love with the one who holds your heart.  Haldir deserves to know how you feel.  You must tell him.”

Celeborn pulled his wife to him, feeling her strength and love flowing to him.  “You are right, my love.  I will talk to him tonight.”

Galadriel gave him an affectionate squeeze and kissed him.  “Good, he will be here soon, you must get ready.  I have our private dining room prepared for two.”  She turned to leave his study.

“Wait, you are not dining with us?”

Her tinkling laughter made him smile.  “I do not think Haldir would feel comfortable with me in the room while you tell him you love him.”  She uncharacteristically wiggled her eyebrows, causing him to chuckle.

“Perhaps you are right, my lovely wife.”

As she opened the door and exited, she looked back over her shoulder.  “Of course, I am right.”  Celeborn shook his head and hurriedly began to prepare for his dinner with Haldir.

***

Rumil and Orophin watched their brother walking towards the royal talan.  “This should be very interesting.”  Rumil chuckled.

“What are you and Lady Galadriel up too?”  Orophin narrowed his eyes.

“Just helping things along.  That is all.”  Rumil grinned and moved back inside the talan.

“May the Valar be with you tonight, Haldir.  There is no telling what you are walking into.” Orophin whispered, shook his head and followed Rumil back inside.

***

Celeborn walked to their private dining room, thinking of what he would say to Haldir and trying to anticipate any reaction he might receive.  Muttering to himself as he walked, “I will be subtle, say a few things, ask some leading questions and see what his reaction might be.  Then I can decide any further action I should take.”  Celeborn felt better as he arrived at the dining room.  He opened the door and his mouth fell open as he looked around the room.  Candles were everywhere, flowers on every surface, rose petals dropped across the dining table and a fire in the fireplace.

Celeborn quickly shut the door and sighed loudly.  “This is not subtle.”  He quickly walked around blowing out many of the candles.  “This looks like a seduction.  What was she thinking?” Celeborn was so intent on his rearranging of things in the room; he did not hear the soft knock or the door opening when Haldir arrived.

Haldir looked around and seeing the room looking rather romantic and the table set for only two, he thought he had misunderstood and this was a private dinner for his lord and lady.

“Haldir will think I have gone mad.”  Celeborn huffed.

“Why would I think that, my lord?”  Haldir asked, startled at hearing his name.

Celeborn jumped and turned quickly towards the door.  His breath caught in his throat at seeing the object of his desire.  “What?”

“I am sorry to startle you, my lord.  I knocked but when there was no answer, I thought I would check to see if anyone was here,” Haldir closed the door and walked closer to his lord, who was nervously wringing his hands and shifting from one foot to the other.  Haldir grinned at the very un-Celeborn like behavior.  Why is he so nervous?  Why is he blushing?  Why will he not look at me?  “You were saying I would think you had gone mad.  Why would I think that?  Where is Lady Galadriel?”

Celeborn stalled, “She is not coming to dinner.  It will….be just the…the two of us and I…I just thought that my wife put too many candles and flowers in the room.  It looked rather…um…well, rather romantic.”

Haldir was feeling rather embolden by Celeborn’s nervousness.  “Do you not like romantic?”  Haldir thought it was now or never.  He wanted to comfort his vulnerable lord, so he stepped closer and took Celeborn’s hand.

“Um…no…well, romantic can be very nice, but I did not know if you would think it inappropriate.”  Celeborn was lost when he looked into Haldir’s beautiful blue eyes.  He could see the compassion and something else there.  Could it be…could it really be love? Haldir’s hair shined in the firelight of the candles and the light from the fireplace.

“You did not set the room this way?”

“No, my wife did this.  I did not know until I arrived.  I …I…Oh Haldir, I do not know how to do this.”  He sat down hard in a chair, pulling free of Haldir’s hand and dropping his head in his hands.  “I was going to talk to you, to tell you I…” he looked up into his Marchwarden’s eyes.  Haldir knelt at his side and took his hands again, rubbing them reassuringly with his thumbs.

“What were you going to tell me, my lord?”  Haldir asked, his voice soft and warm.

“That I have fallen in love with you.”  Celeborn whispered, his gaze flickering away from Haldir’s briefly.

Haldir smiled brightly.  “You love me?”  Celeborn nodded and returned his love’s smile.  “I love you, my lord.  I have for so long, but I never thought you would, or you could love me in return.”

Celeborn cupped Haldir’s cheeks.  “I have always loved you, Haldir.  When you were younger, that love was more paternal, but as you grew and matured, you were so strong and honorable, very much like your ada; I felt my feelings change and become stronger, deeper.  I saw you differently and I began desiring you.  My wife has encouraged me to talk to you, but I feared your rejection.”

“I would never reject you.”  Haldir leaned closer, lightly brushing his lips to Celeborn’s.

They both moaned, lost in the moment.  Just as they deepened the kiss, there was a knock on the door and it opened.  A servant brought in a tray of food and after setting it on the table; she bowed quickly and left the room grinning.

Celeborn and Haldir stared at the closed door and then at each other.  Both still wore the slight blush on their cheeks and still held hands.

Celeborn cleared his throat.  “Perhaps we should eat.  Are you hungry?”

Haldir’s blush increased.  “Oh yes, I am very hungry…not for food, but it may be best to eat something to keep up our strength.”

Celeborn chuckled.  “Think you are going to expend much energy this night?” His eyebrows rose on his brow.

“I certainly hope so, my lord.” Haldir laughed as they sat at the table.

***

Galadriel stood in the hallway, and as the servant walked by she motioned her into the room.  “How did you find things in the dining room, pen neth?”

“They were kissing when I entered but stopped.  Haldir was kneeling by the chair my lord sat in and they were holding hands.”  The servant covered her mouth and giggled lightly.

“What is it?”

“My lady, forgive me, but I have ever seen our Marchwarden blush.  It is rather becoming.”

“If everything works out the way I hope, after this night we will see Haldir blushing often.”   Lady Galadriel’s light laughter filled the room.

***

Dinner had gone very well.  They started with conversation they were comfortable with, talking of patrols, security and the guards, worked into talking of Orophin and Rumil and now that dinner was finished, Celeborn and Haldir sat in a slightly awkward silence. Celeborn grinned and shook his head.

“What is it, my lord?”  Haldir sipped his wine.

“This evening has turned out much better than I imagined it would.”

“What did you imagine would happen?”

Celeborn stood and held his hand out to Haldir and led him balcony of the talan, sitting down he pulled Haldir close.  “I would tell you I was in love with you, and you would, very politely, tell me how flattered you were but your affections were elsewhere,” Haldir squeezed Celeborn’s hand.  Taking a deep breath, he continued.  “Then you would begin avoiding me, knowing how I felt about you; and I, knowing I had made you feel uncomfortable, would not seek you out.”

“Well, I am certainly glad things did not go as you thought they would.  That is rather depressing.” Haldir chuckled.

“It is pathetic.”  They stared into each other’s eyes before finally kissing.  Not the soft tentative brushing of lips, no, this was a much deeper and passionate kiss.  Neither wanted it to stop, but the need for air forced them apart.

Celeborn panted breathlessly and pressed their brows together.  I want you, Haldir.  Come back to my room, stay with me.”

Haldir felt his already hard shaft grow harder and ache in the confines of his leggings.  “I want nothing more.”

They walked back through the dining room, and just before they reached the door, Haldir stopped and took a beautiful rose from the vase. Wordlessly, he handed it to his love and smiled.  Celeborn was more touched by the simple act than he’d ever been before. He kissed Haldir on the cheek and led him to his chambers.

Rather than feeling nervous, Haldir was feeling excited as they entered his lords private bedchambers.  Celeborn sighed loudly and laughed at the sight of his room.  Candles were lit and there were flower petals on every surface.  “Do you think there are any flowers left in her garden?”

Haldir smiled and wrapped his arms around Celeborn’s waist.  “I like it.  It is romantic, not to mention it smells wonderful in here,” he looked around.  It had been a very long time since he had been here.  The room was very Celeborn, simple but elegant.  There were only a few pieces of furniture but it was beautiful.  He nuzzled Celeborn’s neck, inhaling the earthy scent of his lord and soon-to-be lover.  Haldir licked across the Sinda’s pulse point and nipped his earlobe.  “Mmm…I knew you would taste sweet.”

Celeborn shivered and moaned.  “Haldir, if you continue, I will not last long and you have not even touched me yet.”

“Well, let me remedy that right now.”  Haldir smoothed his hand down Celeborn’s arm, up and across his chest, feeling the nipples harden under his fingertips.  He removed Celeborn’s robes and tunic, and then loosened the ties of his undershirt.  They slowly made their way to the bed where Celeborn began removing Haldir’s clothing. He had seen his marchwarden undressed to the waist before, but now he could touch him.

Celeborn turned and pushed Haldir gently down onto the bed, and began removing his leggings.  He kissed all the exposed skin from his hips down to his feet and then back up inside his knees and thighs, stopping just before he reached Haldir’s erection that was lying heavy on his stomach.

“You taste sweet, Haldir.” Celeborn purred as he lay next to Haldir and palmed his erection.

Haldir was dizzy and breathless under Celeborn’s ministrations.  He whimpered and moaned and begged.   “Please, my lord, please…I need…I want…”

“I know what you need, meleth.  Look at me, Haldir.”  Celeborn nudged Haldir’s hip.
When Haldir met his gaze, Celeborn whispered.  “I am not your lord here.  Call me whatever you wish.”

Haldir smiled, tears threatening to fall.  “Meleth.”  He said breathlessly.

Celeborn smiled and then took Haldir’s hard shaft in his mouth, sucking hard and swallowing him whole.

“Meleth!”  Haldir shouted and bucked his hips involuntarily.

Celeborn held his hips down as he worked the shaft in his mouth, bringing Haldir to the edge of release and then slowing down, much to Haldir’s frustration.

“Please, meleth, please…”

Celeborn smiled around the hard phallus in his mouth.  He wanted Haldir relaxed when he took him, so he would grant his wish for release, but not yet.  He reached to the bedside table and found the bowl of oil warming there.  He made a note to himself to thank his wife for her thoughtfulness.

Swiping his fingers through the oil, he brought them to Haldir’s cleft, all the while continuing to work his lover’s erection, keeping his orgasm just out of reach.  Haldir thrashed his head from side to side, moaning and begging.

Celeborn was having difficulty maintaining his control watching his lover come undone before him.  He wanted to take Haldir, and take him now, but he would not risk hurting him.  The marchwarden was so lost in arousal that he barely noticed the first finger that slipped past his guardian ring.  The muscle tightened around Celeborn’s finger but relaxed quickly.  Soon, there were three fingers in Haldir’s passage, twisting and scissoring, thoroughly preparing him.

Celeborn quickened his actions with his mouth, increasing his strokes and suction on the shaft.  Haldir was breathless, muttering incoherently, and then Celeborn curled his fingers, brushing the sensitive gland inside the passage.  Haldir screamed, bucked forcefully into the hot moist cavern of his lord’s mouth and released his seed.  Celeborn stroked the gland twice more, and then removed his fingers.  He pulled off Haldir’s shaft until only the head remained in his mouth.  He used his hand to stroke the shaft as Haldir filled his mouth with his seed, and Celeborn swallowed all that was offered.

Haldir’s body was limp and his chest heaved as he tried to catch his breath.  Celeborn lifted his lover’s legs and pushed Haldir’s knees to his chest.  He leaned down capturing Haldir’s lips and thrust roughly, fully seating his shaft inside Haldir’s passage.  They both moaned loudly at the heat and pressure they felt.

Savoring the moment of connection, Celeborn stayed still for a few moments, staring down into the face he loved so much.

“Are you well, meleth?”  He watched for any reaction.

Haldir finally opened his eyes and with a sated smile he whispered.  “Very well, my love. Now, please move.  I need to feel you.”

Celeborn kissed him deeply and then began to thrust.  He set a fast pace, needing to find his own release and knowing it would not take long.  Haldir reached for Celeborn’s waist, and tugged, trying to get closer, deeper, just wanting more.

Their eyes locked and Celeborn arched wildly as he thrust once more as deep as he could into his lover.  Haldir could feel his lover’s hot essence filling him.  He cupped Celeborn’s face and whispered endearments to him.

Celeborn fell onto Haldir who wrapped his arms around him, holding him tightly until his was breathing normally again.  The Sinda tried to shift off his lover, but Haldir stopped him.  “No, stay.  I want to feel you inside me a little longer.”  Celeborn relaxed against Haldir and kissed him.  Haldir tried in vain to hold Celeborn’s softening shaft inside as long as possible, but it finally slipped free.

Rolling to his side, Celeborn pulled Haldir into his arms.  “I love you, Haldir, so very much.”

“And I love you, my…,” Celeborn grinned and waited for Haldir to finish his thought.  “My Celeborn.”

They fell asleep in each others arms with very sated smiles.

***

All of Lothlorien had noticed the change in their Marchwarden and Lord Celeborn.  There was no question they were in love, although they kept a discreet distance and never had any public displays of their affection; everyone was pleased with the change.  Many were surprised with Lady Galadriel’s acceptance, but she and Rumil were not so discreet.

Everyone was preparing for the Midsummer Celebration and bonfire.  This was a celebration for lover’s, who would dance around the bonfire and claim the one they loved.  Some would physically claim their lover there, some simply took the hand of the one they desired or kissed them in front of everyone as their claim.  All of Lothlorien wondered if this is when Haldir and Celeborn would share their love with all in attendance.

The feast for the celebration was extravagant.  There was enough meat, vegetables, fruit and bread for all who joined in the feast.  Wine flowed freely, causing inhibitions to lower and the kissing and touching between elves began before the feast ended.

Lady Galadriel stood and asked for everyone to begin the walk to the bonfire.  She and Celeborn lead the procession.  The bonfire had already been lit and was blazing high into the air.  Everyone made a circle and after the minstrels arrived, the music began and the dancing commenced.  All eyes watched Haldir and Celeborn.  They stood on either side of Galadriel who was holding each of their hands.  She motioned to the minstrels and the music stopped.  All was quiet except the sound of the fire crackling.

“We gather to celebrate the summer season, the life we are given and the love we are blessed to have and share.  She looked first to Celeborn and then to Haldir.  It seemed as though everyone held their breath.  Orophin and his lover stood together near their lord and lady.  Rumil stood a few feet behind Galadriel, watching his brother and smiling.

“Love is to the heart what the summer is to the farmer’s year—it brings harvest to all the loveliest flowers of the soul.”  She took her husband’s hand and placed it with Haldir’s and kissed their knuckles, showing all that she blessed their union.  “Now, celebrate your love for all to see.”  She backed away and pushed them together.

Celeborn brought their joined hands to his lips and in a voice loud enough for all to hear, he declared.  “Haldir o Lorien, I love you with all of my heart and soul.”

They kissed and then it was Haldir’s turn.  “Celeborn, Lord of Lothlorien, I love you with all of my heart and soul.”

Everyone began to cheer as Celeborn pulled Haldir roughly into his arms and kissed him in a way that left no doubt of his claim on the marchwarden.  Couples began claiming each other in all forms around the bonfire.  Clothing was beginning to be discarded and dancing became more erotic.

Galadriel had back away into the waiting arms of Rumil.  “I think I wish to claim you more privately, my lady.”  Rumil whispered in her ear.

“I would like that too, sweet one.”  They walked back to the royal chambers.

Celeborn and Haldir danced around the bonfire, grinding their hips together.  Celeborn turned Haldir towards the fire, pulling him against his chest, and grinding his erection against the cleft of his lover’s arse.  Haldir groaned and let his head fall backward onto Celeborn’s shoulder and watched the stars that seemed to be dancing above them.  While they danced among all the other couples, they were alone; alone in their love and passion.  Dancing to their own song.  Slowly, the couples dispersed and Celeborn took his lover back to his talan.  They had shared their love with everyone that night, and all of Lorien celebrated with them.

As they lay sweating and breathless in each other’s arms, Celeborn kissed Haldir’s brow.  “The Valar have blessed me more than I deserve.”

Haldir stroked his cheek.  “As they have me, meleth.”
