*Erestor writhed underneath the blond warrior’s body, every touch igniting his skin as he incoherently begged for an end to the agonizingly erotic torture. The small chuckle he heard from his mate’s mouth didn’t bode well for the counselor. “Soon,” Glorfindel promised as he enveloped the dark haired elf’s swollen, leaky member in his mouth and swallowed.*

He shivered as he remembered the shattering climax he experienced at the hands of his soul mate. “Blasted memories!” He would never be able to make it until Glorfindel returned from the two week patrol if he continued to think about such things, but every time he found a moment his mind drifted back to the pleasure his mate brought him.

With a heavy sigh, Erestor walked to the fireplace in their shared quarters and stoked the fire. It was decorated with all the trimmings of the Yule season and he smiled at the gift he had carefully wrapped with a length of silk ribbon. It had been hard to come by, but his perseverance paid off and he was able to purchase a portrait saved from the ravages of Gondolin. He only hoped the gift would not cause his mate pain, but would serve as a reminder of his first life and the happiness it held. The House of the Golden Flower main hall was painted in all its glory down to the smallest details and he fought his temptation to give it to the golden warrior right then.

The dark haired counselor made his way to the balcony doors and stared out at the snow falling steadily adding to the several inches already on the ground. While it was true that elves did not suffer from the cold, he knew Glorfindel preferred avoid it if he could. He turned to look at the table, checking once again to making sure the Miruvor was ready with glasses and the plate of sweets he ordered from the kitchens were ready. Turning back to the window, he lost himself in thought once again.

Glorfindel walked down the corridor with Elladan and Elrohir as the three of them made their way to their rooms. He grinned as he watched the twins fight the urge to race down the hall to greet their lovers. Elladan was sure a certain blond prince, was waiting for him with a warm bath and plenty of Miruvor and Elrohir was expecting the same from Rumil. He doubted he would see the four of them for several days, but couldn’t blame them for not wanting to leave one another’s company or share them with the other inhabitants of the vale. He felt that way about Erestor and at the moment the hall seemed to get longer as he bid the twins farewell.

As he entered the chambers he shared with his mate of several millennia, he spotted Erestor standing by the balcony doors, lost in thought. He smiled as he made his way to him, wrapping his arms around him from behind.

“What has you so distracted that you did not hear me enter, melethen,” Glorfindel asked, teasingly.

Erestor recognized his mate’s scent and automatically leaned back in his touch. “I was thinking of you and hoping you would return soon.” Erestor turned in his lover’s arms, eyes shining brightly and smiling.

“You did not think I would leave you alone on this of all nights, did you?” The blond warrior returned the smile and pulled his mate closer, arching his eyebrows in question.

“Honestly, no,” the dark haired elf replied. “I only was worried you would be delayed and I would not see you until morning. I missed you, Glorfindel, terribly.”

“As I missed you, lirimaer,” he said, caressing Erestor’s cheek with his fingertips. “Come, let us enjoy the treats you have and settle by the fire.”

Erestor wrapped his arms tighter around Glorfindel to keep him from moving and a noise sounded from the folds of his cloak. He looked down, curiously, saw movement and smiled mischievously. “Are you hiding something in your cloak or are you just glad to see me?”

The warrior chuckled and stepped away. “Both, but if you must know, you have discovered your Yule present.” He reached in his pocket and pulled out a small black kitten with white boots which mewled loudly. “His claws are quite sharp and he clings to me, much as you do.”

Erestor couldn’t hide his surprise or happiness as he relieved his mate of the kitten. “He has good taste, I would say and he is scared.” He cradled the kitten and spoke softly to it, before long it was purring and kneading his new master’s arm.

“He is already taken with you, in that, he is no different from me,” Glorfindel commented, stepping closer to shower the feline with his own attention. “What will you name him?”

Erestor thought about it for a moment and grinned. “”Fin,” how does that sound?”

“You will name a cat after me?!” Glorfindel didn’t know whether to be flattered or insulted, but he just chuckled in the end.

“What better name for him? He is a gift from you and will keep me company when you are out on patrol or away serving our lord. Perhaps it will help me not to miss you so very much.”

“Even if he is named after me, I hope you will still miss me and show me how much when I return,” Glorfindel said with a teasing smile.

“You know that I will,” Erestor assured him looking at him with his dark almond shaped eyes. “Would you like to open your gift?”

“Yes, show me what you came up with, I am most excited,” he replied, nuzzling his mate’s neck.

Erestor placed the kitten in Glorfindel’s lap and retrieved the gift he hoped his mate would cherish. “I hope you will enjoy this for years to come,” he said, handing the wrapped present over. He watched is mate nervously as he opened the gift and held his breath when the golden elf looked up at him in surprise.

“It is beautiful, seron vell,” he said, turning his focus back to the painting. “Wherever did you find it? It is just as I remember!”

“I began searching for something that would remind you of Gondolin years ago and when I heard about this, I had to get it for you,” Erestor admitted, smiling at his mate’s reaction. “I could hardly keep from giving it to you when I first received it.”

Glorfindel sat the painting on the settee and the kitten in the floor as he reached for Erestor. The kiss he placed on his mate’s lips was born of affection and gratitude, but quickly turned deep and passionate. Plying his darkling mate’s lips apart, he claimed his mouth as he would later claim his body. Giving into the desire flowing through his veins, the counselor melted into his mate’s arms and matched his zeal. As the need for air forced them to part, Erestor cupped his golden warriors face in his hands and smiled.

“Melin chen,” he said, his eyes darkening with need for his warrior.

“Melin chen, Erestor,” Glorfindel replied before lowering his head to suckle on the graceful pale neck he so loved.

Words became unnecessary as soft moans and gasps filled their room. Morning would find them spooned against one another glowing with the light only shared by bonded mates.
