"But Ada-"

"Do not question me, ion. You will do as I have commanded. You will not see him again." The tone and the blue eyes were glacial.

"My Lord, Adar, I love him," Glorfindel's voice was low and passionate.

"Then you will do what you must to protect him." His Lord's voice let no room for argument and promised punishment if any were encountered.

"You...you would harm him, Ada?" Uncertainty, now, in the face of his Ada's implied threat.

A large hand passed over a bowed blond head, raising it to meet serious light blue eyes, "As Lord of the House of the Golden Flower, I will do whatever it takes to uphold the honor of my line. You will not see him again. I forbid it, do you understand me, ion?"

Glorfindel whispered, "Yes, Ada." The kiss he pressed to his Adar's cheek was slightly less reverent than the ones that had been placed there before this day.

"So, will you be seeing him tonight?" Ecthelion fairly vibrated on the bench beside his most favored companion.

Glorfindel's, "No," was dull and sullen.

"No?" Ecthelion frowned, "What has happened? Have you argued?"

"Adar has forbidden all contact with him."

Ecthelion gasped, appalled, "How did he find out?"

"One of the advisors told him. The one that is constantly leering at Erestor," the blonde's anger could easily be heard.

"Oh, meldir, what are you going to do?"

Glorfindel sighed, resigned, "What can I do but my duty as firstborn son and heir?"

Ecthelion drew the distraught blond into his embrace. Although the night was quiet, tears soaked Ecthelion's tunic. Glorfindel had learned long ago to cry silently.

"The young Lord is coming by to fetch some books for his Adar today." The head librarian tried not to smile as the slight scribe's ears perked up. "Perhaps, you would like to prepare them for him, Erestor?" This time she did smile as the shy elf blushed and nodded, all but snatching the list of reserved books from her outstretched hand. He hurried off toward the back room to find the books, eager to see Lord Glorfindel. Ah, youth was so sweet. She sighed fondly and returned to her own work.

Erestor's heart was beating too fast. It had been days since he had last seen Glorfindel. The blond elf had missed their planned meeting and he had not glimpsed him since. He was not too worried though. It was busy work being the sole heir to such a large house. He hummed to himself as he collected the items on the list and he had just plucked the last book from the shelf when Glorfindel entered the library.

"Erestor!" The head librarian's silver tones rang out. He hurriedly stacked the books and made his way to the front counter. The she elf smiled at him and turned to leave the two of them together in the large room.

Ersetor peeked up through his thick black lashes at the blond warrior, "Good day, Lord Glorfindel."

The blue eyes flickered to his, then flitted away nervously, "Good day, Erestor. I have come to collect some books for my Adar."

"Yes, I know. I have them right here." The little raven haired elf lowered his voice, "What is wrong, Glorfindel? I have not seen you in days and now you treat me so coldly." Then jumping to conclusions without evidence as the young were apt to, "Did you find someone else while you were away? Do you not love me anymore?"

"No!" Glorfindel's denial was fierce, "There is no one else. I..." the blond fidgeted, "I have just been busy."

Erestor smiled, relieved and happy once more, "So, you will come see me soon?" His eyes sparkled.

"I...yes, tonight at our regular spot." Glorfindel grabbed the books and rushed from the room.

Erestor spent the rest of the day in a pleasant daze.

"Where are you going?" Ecthelion hissed as Glorfindel pulled on his leggings. "It is after curfew and the Captain will be most displeased if he finds you missing!"

"He will not find me missing because you are going to cover for me."

Ecthelion sighed, "Please, tell me I am risking the wrath of your Adar and mine for a good reason."

The blond elf grinned, "I am going to see Erestor."

Ecthelion flopped back unto his bed, "We are both going to die."

Glorfindel laughed, "Most likely, but not tonight."

"Tell Erestor I said hello."

Erestor stood in the shadows in the midst of a grove of trees. He paced impatiently as he waited for Glorfindel to appear. He longed for the other elf's company after their long separation. Still, he jumped when he was suddenly grabbed from behind and swung around in circles. When at last his feet found the ground again, he was breathless with laughter. He turned in the loose embrace and swatted Glorfindel's shoulder.

"You frightened me!" He maintained his angry faade for all of a second before he was hugging the blonde's neck, "I have missed you. Promise me that you will not let so much time pass before seeing me ever again."

Glorfindel returned the embrace, hugging him close, nose buried in the long raven tresses, "I wish I could make you such a promise, brilliant one, but I can not. Adar has found out about us and he is not pleased."

Erestor drew back slowly, eyes troubled, "He does not approve?"

Glorfindel gazed into wounded black eyes, "What Ada does or does not approve of has no bearing on us. I love you, Erestor. Nothing will ever change that and if ever we should be parted, I will always find my way back to you. Come, let us talk of more pleasant things."

A hesitant smile touched the cupid's bow mouth and Erestor talked about what had happened in his life over the past few days and Glorfindel listened. At a lull in the conversation, the two moved closer and soon talking gave way to sweet kisses under the moonlight.

Glorfindel tugged at his dress robes with annoyance. Another stupid ball, more stupid maidens and insolent elves parading before him hoping to catch his eye. Well, they could just give up. His heart already belonged to someone, Erestor. He watched as Ecthelion gracefully extracted himself from the clutches of a beautiful she elf. The brunette made his way over.

"You seem very pleased with yourself."

Glorfindel blushed at his meldir's knowing tones, "We only kissed. He sends his regards."

Ecthelion smiled, "I know because I saw him in the halls and he gave them to me himself."

The blonde's spine straightened, "In the hall? Erestor? Now?"

Ecthelion nodded and Glorfindel clutched his arm, "You will cover for me?"

"Go, I will do what I can."

"Erestor, Erestor, are you out here?" Glorfidnel whispered loudly peering into the hall.

A door down the long corridor opened a crack and a dark head poked out, "I am here, Glorfindel." The blond hurried down the hall and was pulled into the empty room by a small hand. The door shut behind them. Unseen watchful eyes down the corridor narrowed and a shadow detached itself from the wall and returned to the ballroom.

Glorfindel pinned the scribe to the door kissing him furiously. "I can not be gone long; I will be missed." He nuzzled into the space between Erestor's ear and shoulder, "You smell so good." He licked the sweet skin, "You taste even better. Mmm, I want to taste more of you. I have dreamed of it."

The raven haired elf's eyes went very wide, "Here? Now? But I-we have never gone that far before."

Glorfindel placed wet, sucking kisses on the pale, arched neck. Erestor moaned and shivered. "I am leaving tomorrow and I do not know when I will return. I need something to remember you by, something to keep me sane while I am away from you. Please, Erestor, let me touch you."

Erestor nodded shyly and stood very still as the young Lord fumbled with the laces of his leggings with one hand and pushed up his worn tunic with the other to reveal pebbled nipples. Erestor gasped with surprise as a hungry mouth attached itself to his chest, sucking strongly on his sensitized flesh. His back arched and his hands rose from his sides to clench in golden hair with total disregard to the intricate braids and jeweled tiara.

Erestor squirmed as that honeyed mouth trailed down his quivering abdomen, seeking the heated flesh revealed by his unlaced tracas. "Glorfindel, no. Not here, we will be caught. You have been gone too long already. You will be missed."

Fevered blue eyes looked up at him from the floor. "Ecthelion is keeping watch. Just let me put my mouth on it. My tongue...I just want a taste."

The need in that heated gaze found as answering blaze within Erestor and he nodded his assent.

Glorfindel, of course, could not stop with just one taste.

A flash of royal blue caught Ecthelion's eye as he chatted with a lovely maiden visiting from a neighboring town. Dread filled his stomach as he spied the lecherous advisor Glorfindel disliked so much talking to the Lord of the Golden Flower. He knew the moment the imposing elf Lord's expression darkened that Glorfindel and Erestor had been found out.

"Excuse me, my Lady, I must go now." He sped off toward the exit without waiting for the young elf's reply. He made it to the hall but Glorfindel's Adar beat him to the small room, the smirking advisor right behind him.

He watched in dismay as Glorfindel was pulled out into the open doing his best to shield a hysterical, barely dressed Erestor from his Adar's wrath. Ecthelion darted forward to break up the situation, guilty for not preventing the confrontation.

"My Lord, my Lord, please calm down. If you continue yelling, you will cause an unsightly scene. Now, I will escort Erestor back to his quarters where he belongs and you can speak with Glorfindel in private." He slid in between Erestor and Glorfindel giving his meldir's shoulder a quick squeeze. He would see Erestor home safely so that Glorfidnel could concentrate on placating his Adar.

He half dragged, half pushed Erestor around the corner out of sight of the two irate blondes. The raven haired elf was nearly hyperventilating with tears pouring down his face and into his mouth.

Ecthelion pulled his clothes into place and wiped futilely at the tears streaming down ashen cheeks. "It will be alright. It will all work out in the end. Glorfindel loves you. Glorfindel will always love you."

"Look at you. Standing before me with your lips swollen from sucking that servant boy's cock like some common whore." His Adar's voice was liquid ice. "You have shamed me, ion. I can only hope that it was worth it. Go to your room and stay there. We will leave at sunset."

Six Months Later

"Welcome home, meldir." Ecthelion's greeting was oddly solemn.

Glorfindel tried to suppress his anxiety as his eyes darted about searching for the one elf he had been desperately missing. Ecthelion placed a broad hand on his shoulder, "He is not here. He was banished from your House and he and his family moved soon after. They have been gone for months."

The pain and misery were evident in the young blonde's face, "Gone where, Ecthelion?"

"No one knows, meldir. No one. Believe me, I have searched."

Imladris

"Usually my Chief Advisor would give you the guided tour but he is in route between here and Lorien. He should arrive in a day or two. In his absence I have taken over his duties."

"Including giving guided tours?" Glorfindel raised an eyebrow in disbelief.

Elrond laughed, "Yes, including giving guided tours. Imladris is not like any other elven realm."

Glorfindel smiled at the rich sound of his new Lord's merriment. He decided that living in this hidden valley would be no hardship. Its Lord seemed fair and wise and beautiful if a little overprotective. "I hope to meet this esteemed advisor of yours. I feel certain that we will have plenty to discuss."

An uncanny light appeared in grey eyes, "I do believe the words you speak are prophecy, Lord Glorfindel."

Glorfindel made his way over to where Elrond stood conversing with a raven haired elf. When Glorfindel had first spied the waterfall of black hair, his heart had skipped a beat. He had only known one elf in all his time with hair so black, Erestor. He ruthlessly pushed the tiny spark of hope down. Surely, this smartly dressed elf was Elrond's fabled head advisor and not the lost love his heart longed for.

Elrond smiled as he spotted him over the tiny elf's head. The elf he was talking to turned to see who had caught his Lord's attention and time stopped. Erestor.

The harsh sound of shattering glass set the scene back into motion and Elrond jumped as the wine glass the advisor had been holding hit the stone floor and exploded. Neither Glorfindel nor Erestor paid the mess any mind.

Glorfindel held out his arms in expectation and it was like the intervening years had never happened. A huge smile broke across the smaller elf's face at the sight and the dark eyes light up from within, "Glorfindel! You have been returned to me!" Erestor dropped all pretense of decorum or dignity and ran into the outstretched arms.

The blond held the slight elf close to his heart in a harsh embrace, "Oh, meleth! How I have missed you. I have longed for this moment for so many millennia. I can hardly believe that you are here in my arms."

Elrond and all the spectators present stood mouth agape. This was totally unprecedented. Most of them had barely seen the rigid advisor smile and here he was running and throwing himself at a total stranger. Elrond shut his mouth with a snap and made his way over to the still embracing couple carefully avoiding the shards of glass.

"I see that introductions are not necessary."

Erestor stiffened and pulled back to face his Lord, "My Lord..." he was at a loss for words.

Glorfidnel shifted until Erestor was tucked firmly against his side, "No, my Lord, introductions are unnecessary. Erestor and I grew up together in Gondolin." Erestor blushed and hid his face but Glorfindel merely smiled, "We were very much in love during our days in the hidden city and unlike Gondolin, our love still exists ."

"Well", Elrond coughed, "I am certain that you have a lot of catching up to do. Erestor is due a vacation and there really is no need for you to jump right into your duties as seneschal. Please, feel free to take a few days off and...rediscover each other."

They were silent as they made their way to Erestor's rooms. Walking close together hands clasped. Once in the advisor's suite, they merely stood and looked at each other. Gazes searching for changes wrought by life, death and the passing of time.

Erestor touched the small scar beneath Glorfindel's right eye gently, "You have fought many battles without me by your side."

Glorfindel kissed the inquisitive fingers, "Certainly, no more than the battles you have fought without me to guard your back. I have missed you, Erestor. I used to wake in the middle of the night with your name on my lips, tears on my cheeks.

Elegant hands carded through blond tresses, "I would much rather it be my lips on your lips."

Centuries of loneliness and despair were kissed away as Glorfindel worshiped each inch of pale, unblemished skin he uncovered. Unlike the last time he had Erestor bare before him, this time he teased and tortured and lingered, there was no rushing, no danger of interruption, no hidden threat lurking around every corner. They were free to be together and in love.

As Glorfindel eased to his knees, Erestor tensed; the position evoking a feeling of dj vu. Glorfindel kissed his hipbone, "Shh, no interruptions, just you and me, all alone in your bedroom making up for lost time."

Erestor relaxed into his gentle touch and shivered as the warrior took him inside after a soft kiss. He was played with, tongued and stroked until he was begging for more. He cried out in protest when Glorfindel stood but was quickly appeased as golden skin was bared to his touch.

Glorfindel let him explore and kiss as they moved backward onto the bed, but soon flipped the darker elf beneath him and settled between his widespread legs. Glorfindel kissed the passion swollen lips, "Do you have something to ease my way?"

Erestor blushed and motioned toward the table next to the bed. Glorfindel leaned up and grabbed the crystalline bottle, "And what do you use this for?" The question had more than a little jealousy in it.

Erestor blushed harder and mumbled, "IuseitwhenIpleasuremyself."

Glorfindel's eyes brightened, "You will please yourself for me soon."

Erestor was crimson but his embarrassment was soon forgotten as slick fingers probed him. The sensation was different from when he touch himself, more intense, brighter, scarier. Glorfindel whispered soothing nonsense to him and he relaxed his tense muscles. When his stomach was quivering and his entrance clinging greedily to the plunging fingers, Glorfindel decided he was ready. He spread the slim legs wider and placed himself at the rosy opening. He pressed forward slowly, savoring the feeling of Erestor's tight body yielding to accept him inside.

Erestor clutched at the large warrior invading him with fluttering hands and shaking legs. He drew the blond down for a kiss and whimpered as they locked into place, bodies as close together as possible.

Glorfindel licked the slat from Erestor's skin, "I have waited millennia for this moment. I love you."

"I love you too." Erestor held on to his love tightly as the blond plundered his body. "I love you, Glorfindel," his words ended on a gasp.

The room fell silent save for soft moans and desperate whimpers. Two star crossed young lovers had finally found each other.

"I told him everything would work out in the end."

"Indeed, you did." Namo drew the dark haired elf back into his embrace. "Indeed, you did."
