TRAPPED IN A NIGHTMARE

 

Lost and alone, I don’t know where to turn

I don’t know where to go, as bridges behind me burn

There’s no way to go back to the way things used to be

The fog is all around, and through it I can’t see

 

The way home I can’t seem to find

My ears seem deaf, my eyes turned blind

The street’s deserted, there’s no one around

No stray dog or cat, not even a mouse can be found

 

I’m here alone in this strange empty world

Not a star in the sky where it twinkled and twirled

I shiver afraid in the dark misty cold

It all slips away as I tighten my hold

 

There’s no difference at all between day and night

In this weird place of nowhere there isn’t a light

I have to leave here, I really can’t stay

I have to get out, there must be a way
