Review: I've Been Waiting For You was a TV movie that was made to cash-in on the success of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, and was actually produced by the same executives who made the latter film.
The story revolves around Sarah, a newcomer to a New England town haunted by a witch's curse. When she arrives, so does a masked killer who seems to be doing away with the descendents of those who burned the aforementioned witch at the stake two-hundred-years prior.
This movie screams television-made, but aside from the cheesy costume the killer wears and a few akward scenes, this is actually a lot more clever and interesting than most of the post-Scream theatrical slashers--certainly much better than flicks like Urban Legend and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. It's unfortunately only aired once (to my knowledge), and it's not yet available on video. However, I do have a copy of it and I'd be willing to tape it for anyone who wants a copy. Just e-mail me at [email protected].

Trivia: The original story from the Gallows Hill young adult novel was changed quite significantly for this film; in the book, there was no killer--it was all about witches.
