Review: Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 is actually two movies in one. The first half of the film consists almost entirely of flashbacks from the first film, surrounded by the framework narration of Ricky, the younger brother of the first movie's killer Billy. Ricky is now all grown up, and he recounts to us how he moved from murder witness to murderer, and he does it in truly hilarious fashion.
This movie is (unintentionally) a riot. Eric Freeman is a terrible actor, but at least he's entertaining as he tries to play the crazed Ricky. Altogether, Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 is actually better than the original, because we literally see just about everything important from the first film, without all of the crap. In addition, with all of the unintentional humor, Silent Night 2 keeps you laughing enough to stop from falling asleep due to the predictable plot and ending--the first film doesn't have that going for it.
